A late 19th Century Japanese black lacquered and mother of pearl decorated table-top cabinet, the two doors opening to reveal a bank of eight various drawers, raised on a scroll foot base CONDITION REPORTS Numerous areas of loss to the lacquer especially at the base. Some heavy loss of lacquer to one of the corners of the base and to the leg of the base. Losses appear , mainly on the corners and the sides. Numerous scratches, ecretions and general wear and tear commensurate with age - see images for details
A pair of 19th Century stained pine twenty drawer apothecary chests with glass handles and painted lettering to each drawer CONDITION REPORTS First cabinet 83.5 cm x 86.5 cm. Second cabinet 81 cm x 85 cm. Considerable signs of wear and tear throughout. Suspect once fitted in alcoves hence unfinished sides and top. Painted drawer labels worn away, just the outline showing. Some faint numbers coming through. Probably replacement glass handles, nearly all with vraious losses,chips nd breaks. Some handles missing altogether. Some splits. Various scratches, scuffs and marks etc throughout. Considerable signs of wear and tear, in need of attention and restoration.
A Victorian walnut and marquetry inlaid side cabinet with single glazed door on a bracket foot base CONDITION REPORTS Dark marks, impressed marks, scratches, scuffs, nicks and small chips to the edges and throughout, small split to the top with some dark marks down the left hand side of the inlay to the body, various knocks to the edges. Bottom left and top right brass moulding is missing. Remaining moulding damaged and buckled. Woodworm holes. Veneer lifting in places. Considerable signs of wear and tear throughout coducive with age and use. For restoration.
