A modern painted pine bookcase cabinet in the 19th Century style with glazed two door upper section over two doors and two cupboard doors Size approx. 200cm high x 111cm wide CONDITION REPORTS Basically good condition throughout. Small nick to the beading on t he left hand door - see image. Split to interior or left drawer - see image. Otherwise sound with deliverate wear to paint to give the impression of age and use a modern piece.
A large oak framed breakfront bookcase cabinet in the Arts and Crafts taste with six glazed and barred doors enclosing shelving over four glazed and barred and two fielded panelled doors on a plinth base, 382 cm wide x 268 cm high CONDITION REPORTS This piece is modern bespoke made for the vendor's home and has therefore not been adapted or cut. All finials are poresent though three are broken requiring re-attaching. The upper frieze has six various vertical splits - see images for detail. The shleves are in pine and fixed, there are no locks to the doors, central cupboards shelves are 27.5cm deep. First outer pair of cabinet doors shelves are 23cm deep, outside doors enclose shelves 27.5cm deep, lower central cupboard doors 31.5cm deep flanked by two fielded panel doors 27cm deep. Outer glazed cabinets 31cm deep. One piece of moulding top left of central cupboard doors missing, the piece splits in to three sections, the cornice, the centre glazed section and the base and plinths. Rear left side has two white paint marks - see image. Slight damage to the moulding top left back corner - see image. Otherwise the piece has wear and tear conducive with a certain amount of age and use prior to being removed from the house and barn stored until sale. Whilst the top cornice with the urn finials is presently fixed it could be removed at which point the height of the bookcase would be 242cm - see images for further detail

A modern burr walnut kneehole desk with tooled and gilded writing surface, the three frieze drawers raised on two banks of three drawers together with a matching filing cabinet of two drawers (as four) Size approx. 136cm long x 76cm high x 76cm deep CONDITION REPORTS Whilst basically sound there are signs of wear and tear throughout including what appear ot be dog chew marks to the corners at the base of the plinths of both the filing cabinet and the desk. The second drawer down on the left of the desk ahs the beading missing to the right side and various signs of wear particularly to the kneehole beading - all requiring re-polishing/restoration - see images for further detail.

The extremeties of this desk are worn in several areas with the base corners looking like dog chews. Ther eis wear to the knee hole and discolouration variously throughout to the edges and moulding. The filing cabinet in better condition thatn the desk though again with some signs of wear and tear conducive with age and use and ring mark to the leather top - see images for further detail. Collections for items such as this are to be conducted within govverment guidelines on social distancing as they stand today this would mean that we would be able to bring the item to the saleroom entrance and that you would be able to collect it from there at an appointe dtime and date.
