PLOOR VAN AMSTEL, Cornelis : (1726-1798) an etched plate with an inscription on the verso by the artist, which indicates the plate was etched by William V - Contained within a scrap album which also contains prints many after Rembrandt, drawings, original artwork, half calf loose, 4to, early 19th cent. * Ploor van Amstel was an 18th century Dutch painter and art collector, amongst his pupils was William V. His art cabinet was said to contain over 5000 drawings, including many by Rembrandt.
