An Art Deco Hollywood Regency ebonised bookcase, 1920s, American, designed by Lorin Jackson, in two sections, the top with an Ionic cornice with an inset ball and laurel Lucite medallion, over a pair of doors with Lucite bars, opening on to four shelves with internal lighting, the doors flanked on either side by Lucite pilasters set against mirror panels, the bottom with a stepped reverse breakfront top over a pair of mirrored doors, each set with a cast Lucite relief of a seashell, opening on to a painted interior, on either side flanked by Lucite pilasters set against mirror panels, to the reverse with manufacturer's badge, 140cm wide45cm deep217cm highCondition ReportOne of the lucite reliefs reset. Glue remnants above it to the right-hand side door. The electrical cord cut - needs rewiring. General scratches scuffs and marks throughout. The lower cabinet missing its shelf. The mirror panels with chips. With flaking to the mirror plates. The yellowing behind the flanking pillars appears to be discoloured glue from the mounting of the lucite pillars reflecting back. A mahogany and marble top cabinet mounted to the cupboard doors and sides, with twenty-four 800 standard silver panels depicting 'Human Activities', opening to reveal two internal drawers, with a shelf, with panels mounted to the back of the doors titled 'The silver tiles represent the Human Activities' and 'The Human Activities', 135.5cm wide 57.5cm deep 111.5cm highThe panels on the inside of the cupboards read:'The 24 tiles in silver 800 (stamped with silversmith stamp and tile stamp) reproduce and re-propose the marble tiles ascribed to Giotto in collaboration with Pisano and Maso da Banco. They were placed on the bell-tower of Santa Maria del Fioro in Florence and now they are shown in the Museum of the Duomo. Cheddar - A Cheddar 'Puffin' Live Steam 'Marine' Plant. The twin cylinder oscillating marine engine with horizontal central flue, and mahogany planked cladding with brass boiler bands, measures approximately 34 cm long. There are some marks to the cladding and the model shows some dusty signs of display, otherwise the model appears to be in Good condition overall. The model sits within a glass display cabinet which measures approximately 41 cms (H) x 45 cms (L) x 26 cms (D) and appears to be in Good condition. The model is unchecked for completeness.
