The etchings were commissioned for Queen Mary's Dolls' House. Sold together with a letter from Princess Marie Louise to the artist dated September 11 1922 requesting the production of a drawing to be included in a portfolio in the King's Library. Case forms part of the collection attributed to local entomologist George West, this is effectively the field case used by Mr West to prepare and preserve his collection and works.
