Two pieces: 1. an oak and bird's eye maple veneered occasional table - early 20th century, the oval top raised on square section supports with kicked-out feet, united by a bird's eye maple veneered x-shaped undertier (LWH 57.5 x 43.5 x 75 cm), alterations; 2. a 1930s mahogany drop-flap bedside cabinet, with a single drawer and cupboard, on cabriole legs (LWH 38.5 x 35 x 76 cm). A Victorian mahogany side cabinet or chiffonier - the moulded top over two frieze drawers and a pair of panelled cupboard doors, enclosing a single removable shelf, on turned toupie feet. (LWH 93.5 x 42.5 x 91 cm)* Condition: The gallery back is missing and there is a chip to the left hand back cover of the top. Good colour overall but surface is quite dirty. Lock damaged to door - as a consequence a small brass latch has been added above the doors and the joint strip has been cut at the top to allow this to swivel. There is a shrinkage crack to the left hand door panel and a chip to one of the drawer handles. The structure is sound overall.
A stained beech wood, vernis martin, gilt-metal and glazed bowfront corner cabinet in the French 19th century style - late 20th century, the gilt foliate scroll mounted frieze over a bowfronted glazed door enclosing a red-damask lined interior with single glass shelf and electric lighting, above a vernis martin style painted panel depicting a fisherman and female companion in a landscape, raised on slightly swept, angular front legs with gilt metal mounts. A Chinese red stained pine, lacquered and parcel-gilt three-piece compound cabinet - probably early 20th century, the two-door upper section with a pair of panelled doors carved with a crane and deer, above a central section with lift-off panelled front carved with a bird on a branch of blossom around a large, chased and pierced brass lock-plate, the two panel doors to the base carved with flowers and auspicious objects, with decorative brass fittings and swing handles to the sides, enclosing two small drawers over an open shelf (the original shelf missing). A late 18th/early 19th century Paris porcelain cabinet cup and saucer, gilt and foliate decorated with a cobalt blue border and painted mark to base, cup 6cm high, fifteen further 19th century English cabinet cups and saucers, a Coalport twin handled bowl decorated with landscapes against a turquoise ground, 6cm high, three early 20th century Coalport miniature porcelain dishes and related porcelain items.
