An important group of three Chinese carvings in an ebonised Chinese collectors cabinet with all over diaper pattern carving and inscribed ivory tablet. The cabinet imitates books.The cabinet has two fitted drawers, in the top drawer are two carvings.A Chinese Ming style carving of a recumbent goat looking over its left flank at it's kid, each has a lotus flower in it's mouth in white jade with hints of russet, 18th century or earlier, length 6cm, on fine wood stand pierced and carved as ling chih fungus sprays.The second a Chinese greenish white Vajra with the face of Vajradhara, length 9.5cm. The lower drawer holds a Chinese white jade vase carved as a slender four petaled flower emerging from a flowering shrub forming a base and carved and pierced as flowers and branches in relief.18th/19th century, height 11.5cm.Cabinet size height 15cm, depth 15cm, width 12.2cm.Note: We translate the tablet as follows Chang Chun Ko Chen Wan from which a possible reading is ' A precious trinket from the large Spring Pavillion' Condition report: There are no apparent condition issues with any element of this lot.

Twelve unboxed Matchbox Spitfire models are also included as part of this lot. Overall models appear G+ in, where present, generally G+ packaging.

WATSON & SONS, 313 HIGH HOLBORN, LONDON; FLATTERS & GARNETT L.T.D., 309 OXFORD RD., MANCHESTER; and SMITH BECK & BECK, 31 Cornhill E.C, the cabinet 27cm (10.75ins) wide.

VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Basically sound, a little grubby and some wear and tear commensurate with age and use, but no serious losses.

PAIR OF 19TH CENTURY VIENNA PORCELAIN CABINET PLATES, having hand painted central scenes entitled: 'Cariolanus' and 'Agleia' within gilt, pink, turquoise and iron red borders, blue underglaze shield mark to base, with red inscription of title, Cariolanus plate numbered 9178 and the Agleia plate numbered 9043, 24cm diameter. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Both plates appear in good overall condition, both have wear to base rim, a little grubby, under u.v. no obvious signs of over painting, surface wear and scratching as expected with age, generally good.
