A Regency mahogany, crossbanded and brass strung tea caddy, circa 1815, of sarcophagus form, with cavetto edged cover and four brass ball feet, the interior with twin subsidiary caddies with hinged covers, two paper labels within for J.Wilmott, Upholder, Cabinet Maker, etc, John Street, Oxford Street, 18cm high, 35cm wide. Thomas Wilmott was in business at 16 St John Street by 1800 and continued to trade from the same address until after 1840. He is mentioned in the Sheraton’s list of Master Cabinet Makers, 1803. A George IV mahogany cabinet bookcase, circa 1825, the moulded cornice above a glass panelled door enclosing adjustable shelves, flanked by engaged columns, the lower section with a pair of panelled cupboard doors opening to adjustable shelves, on a plinth base, 180cm high, 88cm wide, 36cm deep Condition Report:** Marks, scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use. Old closed splits. Minor chips. Top/base probably associated. Lots of scratching to top of lower section where cabinet section sits. Section of veneer loss to front left corner of lower section. Some additional scratching to plinth, top of lower section and around keyholes.

AN AESTHETIC WALNUT, EBONY AND PARCEL GILT SIDE CABINET by Lamb of Manchester, of oblong form, the raised mirrored back with scrolled pediment centering an anthemion, the oblong plate flanked by bracket shelves, inverted breakfront frieze with ebonised panels over glazed door enclosing shelving lined in purple velvet and flanked on either side by twin columns extending to turned feet, stamped Lamb, Manchester 32261, 48" x 17" x 54 1/4" (Illustrated) Lamb of Manchester: The Manchester firm of James Lamb was noted for its dedication to artistic design and construction using the best materials and workmanship. An important figure in the Aesthetic Movement, Lamb worked in association with several leading designs of the time, including Alfred Waterhouse and Charles Bevan. The firm exhibited throughout Europe.

A black japanned open display cabinet in George II style, decorated with chinoiserie, the pagoda top above three shelves with fret-work sides, early 20th century, 68in (172.5cm) h, 21.75in (55cm) w, 10.25in (26.5cm) d. Damages to fret-work. The original cabinets were made by William and John Linnell for the 4th Duke of Beaufort and can now be found in the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Major (Lieut. on Star) Princess Patricia`s Canadian Light Infantry. Died 31st Oct. 1917. iv). EUGENE GILBERT SULLIVAN First World War pair, Capt. E. Surrey Reg. Died 8th May 1917. The group is mounted in two "spink" frames with some fading of the ribbons. They also benefit from the inclusion of a large quantity of ephemera. ERNEST FREDERICK SULLIVAN A group of letters to his wife including war time, deploring the devastation and hoping for a good outcome as far as his children are concerned, one letter dated the day his son, Philip died. Letters from The London Necropolis Co. Ltd in relation to his grave no. 193694 at Brookwood Cemetery, Surrey; together with a rubbing of his dedication. Copy extracts of letters to his parents from 1881 to circa 1902. Two cabinet photographs of him as a young officer circa 1885, other images circa 1918, two diaries 1882 and 1883, each outlining military and private activities including sea voyages to and from India. Miscellaneous other including holiday snap-shots. PHILIP HAMILTON SULLIVAN A cased heightened miniature photograph showing Philip in dress uniform. A copy of "The 2nd Munster in France" published 1922, here is outlined the Munsters defence at the town of Estreux, holding back the advancing German army, long enough to allow the main body of the British Army to retreat successfully from Mons. A copy of the story of The Munsters at Etreux, published 1918. Various photographs, some copies including him as a baby, toddler and youth; together with one of his grave. Embarkation document. Notification document appointing him to 2nd Lieutenant. Several letters sent to his mother in sympathy of her loss.
