A George III Sheraton style satinwood collector's cabinet on stand, inlaid with stringing and tulipwood banding, with a pair of oval panelled doors enclosing an arrangement of eight drawers, the top two with divisions, five others with trays, with turned bone handles, the stand with square tapering legs and spade feet, 102.5cm high, 51.2cm wide, 38.9cm deep. Provenance: The collection of Lady Ottoline Morrell and thence by descent.

A set of mahogany and satinwood hanging wall shelves, with three stepped tiers and pierced fretwork ends and divisions, fitted with three drawers inlaid with marquetry decoration of scrolling leaves and flowers, centred with a pair of griffins flanking an urn, 19th century, 77.8cm high, 86.7cm wide, 17cm deep. The design for the marquetry is taken from the Temple of Antonius and Faustina, Rome, and was engraved for a 'Frieze or Tablet' in Thomas Sheraton's 'The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer's Drawing Book', 1793, pl. 56. Provenance: Christie's, Important English Furniture, 17th April 1997, Lot 17.
A walnut cabinet on secrétaire chest, with cross and feather banding, a pair of doors enclosing an arrangement of twelve drawers, the base with a secrétaire fitted with pigeon holes and drawers, above two short and two long drawers and on bun feet, early 18th century and later, 185cm high, 113cm wide, 51.7cm deep. Provenance: Cypress House, Chilton Cantelo, Somerset.
λ A Dutch rosewood and ebony Baroque cabinet on stand or luiermanskastje, with ripple mouldings, the detachable cornice with a central panel carved with swags of flowers, above a pair of panelled doors, flanked by three Corinthian capital pilasters, the central one sliding to reveal a key escutcheon, enclosing a shelf, above a frieze drawer with carved lion's head masks with brass ring handles, the stand fitted with a drawer and with blind fret strapwork decoration, on cup and cover turned supports united by a stretcher and on ebonised ball feet, 17th century, 201.7cm high, 142cm wide, 59.8cm deep.
λ An Indo-Portuguese tortoiseshell and hardwood table cabinet, inlaid with bone and ivory stringing and with engraved ivory panels with leaves and flowers, the hinged lid revealing a mirror and a lift-out tray with four divisions, above a pair of doors revealing an arrangement of six drawers, each with a green stained bone and gilt fret front, with a pair of sliding panels to the back edge of the cabinet, revealing six secret drawers, with brass side carrying handles and hinges, early 18th century and later, 26.5cm high, 33cm wide, 24.2cm deep. Provenance: The collection of Lady Ottoline Morrell and thence by descent, illustrated in the Garsington sale catalogue, 11th July 1928, lot 100.
