Model Aircraft. The Bruce Nicholls Collection of model aircraft, all kit built plastic models including Pioneer aviation, WWI, RAF inter-war, WWII (RAF, USAAF and Luftwaffe), post WWII early jet age and modern jet aircraftQty: (approximately 100)Footnote: Provenance: 2152 (North Bristol) Squadron ATC. Mr Bruce Reginal Nicholls (affectionally known by many on the unit as 'Nick') was a Civilian Instructor with the squadron from 1976 to 1991. He was a prolific aeromodeller and shared his hobby with generations of cadets at the squadron. Rather than disperse it, he chose to donate his entire collection of model aircraft to the squadron and until recently took pride of place in a display cabinet within one of the squadron's buildings.
French and Belgian Medals. A Regency mahogany apothecary cabinet of rectangular form, the hinged cover enclosing an assortment of poison bottles with undertier drawer with part fitted interior, width 27cm, depth 14cm, height 18cm.Additional InformationThere are a number of bottles missing, a couple of the bottles with chips to the rim, case with water damage and staining, scratches and scuffs to the case, the odd knock, old repair to the veneer on the side.
A hardwood bone inlaid mahjong cabinet, set with five drawers containing bone faced and bamboo backed tiles, the cabinet width 23.5cm.Additional InformationThe drawers move in and out freely and are generally in good condition. One drawer with a small loss to the back left corner. Exterior with some small losses to the inlay here and there and the front panel with a slight split and glue reside from tape. The bottom drawer is lacking handle, the handles appear to be a form of varnished seed.
