A VICTORIAN MAHOGANY MEDICINE CABINET having an inset brass swing handle and plate engraved Mr John Gorst, Preston, the two hinged doors containing various divisions and glass bottles encloses three short and two long drawers containing bottles, jars etc, with divisions and glass bottles above, on a short plinth base, the reverse with secret sliding compartment containing further bottles. 34cm(h) x 31cm(w) x 20cm(d) sold with a leather cased travelling medicine box, with strap handle, the top lifting to reveal various divisions, bottles and central storage well. 12cm(h) x 25cm(w) x 16cm(d) The mahogany cabinet with one brass escutcheon missing, four bottles missing, various minor marks and scratches. The leather box with cracking and losses to handle, depleted straps, staining throughout, wear to interior.
