A colonial cabinet on stand, Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), 1750-1780 East Indian walnut or laurel, with elaborately scrolling pediment, panelled doors, a pair of drawers in the lower section with brass escutcheons, standing on cabriole legs with ball and claw feet Published: Millner Manolatos VII, 2007, no.25 This elaborate cabinet is characteristic of the Dutch period of furniture-making in Ceylon.
