Paar Kandelaber mit Amor und PsycheHöhe: 96 cm. Breite der Basis: 23 cm.Frankreich, um 1880.In Bronze gegossen, ziseliert, vergoldet und patiniert. Über dreieckigem Grund mit Lambrequin besetzten seitlichen Hervorstrebungen die Löwentatzenfüße mit reicher Blattzier, ein Kugelelement tragend auf dem die brünierten figürlichen Bronzen aufgesetzt sind. Diese zeigen Amor und Psyche als Figura Serpentinata, ein stahlglänzendes Eichelelement tragend um das jeweils sechs Brennstellen sowie eine überhöhende Brennstelle mit reichlichem Blattwerk angeordnet sind.Vergleiche:Das hier angebotene Kandelaberpaar folgt einem Entwurf von Jean-Démosthène Dugourc (1749-1825), der in der Bibliothèque du Musée des Arts décoratifs de Paris aufbewahrt wird. Dieser Entwurf ist beschriftet „Dessiné par J. D. Dugourc, architecte et dessinateur du Cabinet de Monsieur frère du Roi. Kölner Überbauschrank (Evangelistenschrank)Höhe: 188 cm. Breite: 140 cm. Tiefe: 65 cm.Köln, um 1655.In Eiche gearbeitetes Möbel. Über gedrückten Kugelfüßen stehender rechteckiger Unterbau mit risalitartigen Hervorspringungen, denen gedrehte Akanthusblatt besetzte Säulen aufgepfropft sind, die in ionischen Kapitellen münden. Der Unterbau mit einer Doppeltür, bei der rechten öffnet sich die zentrale gedrehte Säule mit. Darüber zwei Schübe mit Löwenkopfhandhaben und eingefügten Ringösen. Der Überbau leicht zurückspringend mit zwei zentralen Türen und dahinterliegendem gliedernden horizontalen Regalbrett. Das Gesims gestuft und kartuschiert mit geschnitztem Rankendekor. Der Dekor, der dem Schranktypus seinen Namen verleiht, nämlich Evangelistenschrank, zeigt je einen stehenden Evangelisten neben einem blockartigen Gebilde auf den Unterschranktüren. Die Figuren werden von einem Bogen auf auslaufenden Voluten überfangen. Die Bogenfläche ist mit kleinen Voluten gefüllt. Die jeweils äußere Hälfte des Reliefs bedeckt ein geschnitzter Vorhang. Die Zwickel der anderen Seite sind bogenartig eingeschnittenen und mit sich am Ende einrollenden Blättern gefüllt. Die linke Tür zeigt den Evangelisten Lukas mit offenem Buch und dem ihm attributiv zukommendem Stier, während die rechte Tür den Evangelisten Johannes mit dem Adler an seiner Seite zeigt, jeweils in lange Gewänder gekleidet. Der Oberschrank mit Karyatiden versehen, auf unverziertem Sockel mit weiblicher Figur und ionischem Kapitell. An der rechten Schrankecke eine Temperantia-Figur stehend mit erhobenem Krug in der rechten Hand und einem Gefäß in der anderen. Bei der linken Figur hingegen ist kein Attribut zur Versinnbildlichung zu erkennen. Auch diese Figuren in lange Gewänder gehüllt. Im Wesentlichen wird auf den Türen der Dekor des Unterschranks aufgenommen, die rechte Tür zeigt den Evangelisten Matthäus mit dem Engel an seiner Seite, auf der linken Tür sitzt Markus mit einem aufgeschlagenen Buch auf seinen Knien und dem Löwen zu seinen Füßen.
