A Victorian mahogany cylindrical pot cupboard, with marble top and octagonal base, diameter 39 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The cupboard has a hinged lift up top. As the underside of the top is polished we believe this to be original. The cupboard door is however non-functioning as there is a brass plate to the top edge of each side of the cupboard door which does not allow the door to open. This could probably be removed and the door would function as normal. The condition of the cabinet is reasonable. The marble is not cracked. The immediate surround to the marble is in good order. The stepped surround has slight movement at the joints, this is more evident from the underside. The sides of the piece are all a little discoloured and there is one large stress fracture to the timber on the rear rib. The base has numerous small veneer losses and pieces of veneer missing particularly along the bottom edge. The piece is structurally sound and there is no evidence of any woodworm.
A pair of Continental marquetry and parquetry walnut bedside cabinets, each with marble top and raised on cabriole legs terminating in sabot feet, width 39.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The marble tops are original to the cabinets. The handles are original. Both cabinets are in generally very good condition with no issues of any nature to the woodwork. The marble top to one cabinet has a small chip to the rear bottom left hand corner. As this is likely to be against a wall it will not be noticeable. Height 72 cm.

Whilst the top is flat with no cracks it is very badly stained, scratched and scuffed. The centre brass plaque is present. There is evidence of holes above this indicating where something else has been screwed to the top. All brass bindings are present but the corner bindings are all dented and a little misshapen. All handles are in situ as are both locks. The left-hand lock keeper below the handle is missing. The sides front and back of the piece are marked similarly to the top. The lid has a label underneath SUI KEE CHAN Cabinet Maker etc, Hong Kong.
An extensive reproduction walnut veneered Queen Anne style bedroom suite, comprising double wardrobe, gentleman's compacting wardrobe, chest of five drawers, dressing table and a pair of bedside cupboards, all upon cabriole legs with carved shell knees. CONDITION REPORT: All pieces in the suite are in structurally good condition. There are no warped doors. All pieces have scuffs and minor scratches to the polish particularly around the corners, side mouldings and cabriole legs. The large wardrobe in particular has scuffs to the polish particularly around the right-hand foot and right-hand return moulding. The chest of drawers has a plate glass top and the top is in good order. All drawer fronts are in generally good condition with only minor scuffs to the cockbeading particularly on the lower drawers. The dressing table has three part missing handles. One bedside cabinet has water damage to the top polish. The veneers are not lifting but some of the polish has been lost. The shelf below this is also water damaged and there are some splashes on the door. The Second cabinet is in better condition.
An early Victorian rosewood side cabinet, with moulded edge above an open aperture, flanked on either side by a cupboard enclosing shelves and raised on a plinth base. Width 183 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Width 183 cm, depth 46 cm, height 96.5 cm. Please note that we have measured the width at the top. The canted angles with the scrolling columns are slightly proud of the top which would probably had another 2-3 cm to the width at the widest point of the front. Also note that the panel at the back of the recess is not particularly good quality. Perhaps there was once a mirror plate here?.
A George III mahogany bookcase on stand, with moulded cornice with a pair of glazed doors with wooden astragals enclosing adjustable shelves, the base with moulded edge and raised on tapered legs of square section terminating in spade feet, width 119 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Height 181 cm, depth 41 cm. The cornice is in generally good order with only minor scuffs and small nibbles. The crossbanded frieze is in good condition all round with no losses and only minor deterioration of the polish. The sides of the cabinet are in good condition with no significant cracks, damage or marks. The doors are not warped. The lock is present and we do have the key. The polish is a little dry in places on the crossbanding. All astragals are present with only old minor repairs. There is no damage to the glass. The interior shelves are dirty and marked. The base has all of the usual minor scuffs and marks as one would expect but there are no significant structural issues. The left-hand side front fretwork spandrel has been broken and repaired. The right-hand rear corner fretwork spandrel is a little loose. The backboards are original.

The hinges are tight and secure. The interior dividers are in good order and all present. The moulded edge surround is in good order also. The slope front does not have any veneer stress fractures. There is no lifting inlay and the hinge is in good order. The tooled leather writing surface is very clean. There are no inkwells present however the sliding inkwell tray is in good order with no losses. Both sides of the cabinet are in good condition as are all drawer fronts. All handles are original. The front panel is in good condition as is the rear panel. The castors are original. The Davenport could be used or resold in its current state without the need for any work.
A 19th century French parquetry marble topped side cabinet, with moulded brass edge, three frieze drawers, concave sides and raised on slightly splayed sabre type legs with sabot feet. Width 57 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Height 75 cm, depth 35.5 cm, width 57 cm. The marble top has a semicircular crack to the rear right-hand corner running for approximately 17 cm across the right-hand rear corner with a further 3 cm crack running towards the back from the same point. In our opinion this would easily repair if required. The brass binding to the marble is in good condition all round although very tarnished. The cabinet itself is structurally sound with no visible repairs or restoration. There are numerous old small veneer losses and nibbles particularly to the shaped apron and round the edges of the drawers and extremities. There are also scuffs and marks particularly around the rear leg tips.
