George 111 coinage includes a 1773 farthing, 1799 penny and halfpenny etc. Charles 111 of Spain 2 reis dated 1783 Mexico mint, etc. Mostly worn or 19thC issues, with cabinet size 9" x 7" x 7" approx.

An Edwardian oak cased canteen of silver Old English pattern cutlery, by Walker & Hall, mostly Chester and Sheffield 1905/6, comprising; 16 dessert forks, 18 table forks, 12 dessert spoons; 11 table spoons; 10 teaspoons; 2 egg spoons; a pair of sauce ladles; a pair of salad servers; a soup ladle; a pair of asparagus tongs; and 7 silver lobster picks, 4448g, together with various steel bladed knives and plated items, the original panelled two door cabinet enclosing eight graduated drawers with brass countersunk handles. Condition Report: Silver all engraved initial L. incomplete, some damage and missing plated items and knives/forks.

CHURCHILL (Winston, Rt. Hon. Sir): 'My Early Life, A Roving Commission' London, Macmillan & Co, 1944 reprint. 8vo, publisher's cloth with dustjacket, the latter frayed and split. INSCRIBED BY CHURCHILL: 'TO G RANCE FROM WINSTON S CHURCHILL, 1945', with additional typewritten presentation tipped-on to upper flyleaf on 10 Downing Street paper, dated 26th July 1945. George Rance was the Clerk of the Cabinet War Rooms and effectively became Churchill's right hand man as custodian of the bunker. (1) Condition Report: There are some obvious faults shown in the image. There is no spotting or previous owners markings.

Cornelis de Baellieur (Anversa 1607-1671), Natività olio su rame, cm 35,5x28,5, E’ certamente opera di Cornelis de Baellieur (Anversa, 1607-1671): è infatti accostabile ad altro olio su rame anch’esso rimesso a oro, con la “Madonna in trono tra sette angeli musicanti”,a lui riferita e presentato nel 2011 dall’atelier“Lawrence Steigrad FineArts”(23 East 69th Street - NewYork);come quella newyorkese, anche la nostra dovrebbe datare al quarto decennio del Seicento. Pittore di composizioni religiose, di soggetti storici e allegorici, di scene di genere, di cabinet e di interni animati. Nel 1617, Cornelis de Baellieur inizia il suo apprendistato frequentando ad Anversa l’atelier di Antoon Lisaert.Van der Branden segnala che nove anni dopo figura iscritto nel libro dei maestri della Gilda di San Luca, di cui fu decano tra il 1644 e il 1645. Il noto dipinto raffigurante “Interno di un cabinet di dipinti con amatori d’arte”, firmato e datato 1637 (Parigi, Louvre), conferma come le opere tra il terzo e il quarto decennio siano profondamente influenzate dall’arte di Frans Francken II°, nonostante Cornelis non ne abbia mai frequentato lo studio. Fu pittore di pittore di piccole figure, descritte con maestria analitica e miticolosa, strettamente associato con Frans Francken II° (probabilmente deve aver lavorato nel suo studio). In alcuni suoi dipinti databili al quarto decennio, si servì della collaborazione di Frans Francken III°. Le opere della maturità si orientano verso suggestioni pittoriche che disvelano forti inclinazioni alla lezione di Jordaens. Il figlio, con lo stesso nome, fu anch’egli pittore. L’influenza di Francken è marcatamente evidente in particolare se relazionata nei dipinti,spesso firmati da Baellieur con soggetti religiosi o biblici.A cartina tornasole si confrontino “Cristo e l’adultera” (Dresda, Gemldegalerie e Brunswick, Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum), “L’idolatria di Salomone” (Innsbruck, Schloss Ambras) e “L’Adorazione dei Magi” (Bruxelles, Muse Royaux des Beaux-Arts). Nondimeno in Baellieur la componente personale si emancipa per la qualità meticolosa con cui pone a compimento le sue figure, autentici cammei di calligrafia miniaturistica. Le sue composizioni appaiono cromaticamente vistose, traguardate su arditi accostamenti tonali di bianco-giallo, viola e rosa, spesso dipinte su rame, un supporto particolarmente idoneo a far risaltare la sua squillante gamma cromatica.
