Fry & Sons Ltd' across the bottom, with partial makers label for R. Palmer, 45cm wide x 24.5cm deep x 69cm high overall; together with a further smaller similar Fry & Sons Ltd countertop display cabinet, painted black and with arching glass, 35.5cm wide x 21cm deep x 34.5cm high (2)Minor marks, dents and scratches overall due to age and use. Paintwork in poor condition. Wear to the gilded paintwork and to the painted sign writing on the glass panel. The interior with original paper lining but tatty with losses and with no shelves within or back door. The remains of the hinged door possibly originally a glazed frame at the base. The second cabinet with marks, dents and scratches overall due to age and use, some moulding to the upper left side of the cabinet missing, the back of the cabinet replaced, the interior with later shelf and partially re-lined.

A Dixon electroplated part flatware service in three tiers contained in an oak cabinet, oval plaque to the top for E J Holt CONDITION REPORT: Provenance - Ernest James Henry (Billy) Holt, CMG, CBE (1883 - 1972) who for more than 50 years was closely associated with athletics. He started as a sprinter with South London Harriers and turned to the administration side of the sport when he retired, He became an honorary official in 1907 when he was appointed assistant secretary of South London Harriers. In 1932 he became treasurer of the Amateur Athletic Association and progressed to become honorary secretary of the Amateur Athletic Board and honorary secretary treasurer of the International Amateur Athletic Federation. He was Director of Organization for the 1948 Olympic Games in London and was later invited to be adviser and technical director for the organisation of the 1956 games in Melbourne. He also held other roles in the Los Angeles 1932, Berlin 1936 and Helsinki 1952 Olympic Games. In recognition of his services to the sport he was awarded the O.B.E. in 1947, C.B.E in 1953 and C.M.G. in 1957Freemasonry - He was initiated in Black Horse of Lombard Street Lodge, No. 4155, in 1922, Master of Athlon Lodge in 1938 and had coached the long-distance athlete, Gordon Pirie.

Vintage Remy Martin Commemorative Cabinet The cabinet is made from wood and decorated with red and green painted foliage. On the inside of the door there is a label written in French. and there are dates on the front of the cabinet of 1724 to 1824. I believe the dates celebrate the 100th anniversary of Remi Martin trading, as the date of 1724 was the date the founder created a cognac trading house. And that the cabinet was made and reissued in 1974 as the date would celebrate 250 years since the creation of Remi Martin. 51 x 20 x 38cm
