A late Victorian Cornish pine farmhouse dresser. The upper part with two glazed doors, the base fitted two short and two long drawers with glass handles on a shaped plinth base, height 189cm, width 141cm, depth 44cm.The original finish has been stripped. There are corner cracks on two of the glazed panes. The backboards of the upper section have a few gaps between them.There are numerous marks and scratches from use. The drawers run reasonably freely but they do tend to drop forward slightly when opened.The cabinet is in two sections.
Wedgwood Creamware cabinet cup and cover, initialled and brown line border, height 8 cm CONDITION REPORT: The lid knop has been replaced. It looks like the top of a chess piece which has been painted cream. There is a scratch emanating from underneath the chess piece top through the two concentric lines surrounding. There is also a further glaze chip above the garland. The underside of the top has rubbed through the glazing around the lid rim in places. The base cup is in generally good order with no significant issues. There is some minor nibbling to the glaze around the top lip but no significant chips, cracks or any repairs or restoration. The handle does not appear to have been broken.
