William Morrison TLS dated 16/2/1940. (10 August 1893 - 3 February 1961) was a British politician who served as the 14th Governor-General of Australia, in office from 1960 until his death. He had previously been a long-serving cabinet minister in the United Kingdom, as well as Speaker of the House of Commons from 1951 to 1959. Good condition Est.
Brendan Bracken TLS dated 25/2/1944. (15 February 1901 - 8 August 1958) was an Irish-born businessman and a minister in the British Conservative cabinet. He is best remembered for opposing the Bank of England's co-operation with Adolf Hitler, and for subsequently supporting Winston Churchill's prosecution of the Second World War against Hitler. He was also the founder of the modern version of the Financial Times. He served as Minister of Information from 1941 to 1945. Good condition Est.

Two pieces of pierced decoration missing from the right hand side underneath. Otherwise generally a nice colour, veneer in good condition with the usual marks and scratches commensurate with age. Paint in fairly good condition with some wear.
