The Infant's Library 1823. 15 Miniature volumes ( of 16 ) each featuring between 25 and 30 pages. Thirteen of the books are equally divided between text and engraved illustrations ( most hand coloured ); one title has an illustrated vocabulary and another a series of phonetic letter combinations without illustration. A very scarce set usually accompanied by a specifically designed cabinet. Although this set lacks one volume ( no.14 ) and the cabinet, they are exceptionally well preserved both in terms of the multi-coloured contemporary paper-covered board bindings and the miniature text blocks.
