Lot 1

A pre war MECCANO no 7 Set c 1926 to 1927 in its original Oak Cabinet. The Set has not been checked in its entirety for completeness but detailed examination has shown that most of the parts listed for the period 1923 -27 in the New Cavendish Books Meccano System Compendium for Set 7 are present with some additional parts.Those parts include a second clockwork motor. The main absences are the accumulator for the 4V electric motor, some of the contents of the Electrical Outfit Boxes and the Instruction Book and leaflets which would have accompanied the Set. The Oak cabinet is complete with the original key for the Lid and the original Key for the 2 Drawers. The contents are in Excellent conditionwith no evidence of corrossion. The Gold Meccano No 7 lettering to the inner and outer surfaces of the Lid are original and complete. The lot includes a separate cardboard Box with a few early post 1945 parts.
