A Minton Limoges enamel style turquoise ground cabinet plate and two Spode pottery plates, 19th Century, printed and impressed marks, the Minton plate with retailer's marks for A.B. Daniell & Sons, Wigmore Street, enamelled in white perhaps by Desire Leroy with birds and butterflies amongst flowering branches, within a gilt and white key-pattern border, the first Spode plate painted in the famille rose palette with flowers, the second printed and painted with scrolling green leaves, the first 24.3cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: The Minton plate with significant crazing to the thick turquoise glaze. Hairline crack to rim at 4 o'clock. Both Spode plates are in good condition.
A Victorian burr walnut veneered and oak two-handled stationery cabinet, hinged lid and fall front enclosing black leather inset writing slope and fitted interior, 37.5cm w, 28cm h CONDITION REPORT: Geenral wear and light scuffs commensurate with age and use. All over n good condition. Light veneer crack to left side, scuffs and bumps. Key present. Secret pop out inkwell and pen tray to interior with slightly 'sticky' mechanism but functional. Slope with movement crack to lower right front joint. The interior with two different designs of inkwell which appear to be later replacements.

A Victorian burr walnut pedestal desk by John Taylor & Sons, Edinburgh, the faux leather inset top with three frieze drawers and two cabinet doors, one enclosing shelves and the other with four concealed drawers, stamped to upper left frieze drawer, 123cm wide, 69cm deep, 81.5cm highNote: John Taylor founded his business in 1825 in West Thistle Street, Edinburgh. He then moved to the more prominent position of 109 Princes Street Edinburgh. In 1852 John Taylor & Son were appointed 'Cabinet makers and Upholsterers to Her Majesty the Queen'. Their Rosemount Cabinet Works at Gardner's Court were established around 1857 and they continued trading from Princes Street until they went into liquidation in 1945. They were one of the largest quality cabinet makers in Scotland in the Victorian era, employing nearly three hundred people. CONDITION REPORT: Assembled as one piece, pedestal do not dissemble. 1 key present. Leather top replaced by faux leather. Scuffed and light movement cracks to sides. Some small chips to sides of doors and scuffs. Some impact damage with lower pedestal. Four handles detached but present. Overall in good condition with some wear and rubbing commersurate with age and use.
