Brinsmead (c1880) An art-cased upright piano in a mahogany ebonised and decorated cabinet: the shelved superstructure having concaved gilt-heightend panels above three spindle turned octagonal panels, the keyboard lid with brass strap-work hinges and conforming foliate decorated panels below; the frame stamped 11102 internally. This piano is illustrated in ‘The Artist’ October 1894 page 389 and entitled, ’An “Early English” upright pianoforte by Brinsmead.’ (See front cover and inside colour illustrations)
