Late 19th century Vienna porcelain cabinet cup and saucer finely painted with girl and cherub within gilt jewelled and pastel coloured borders, entitled on base - Frühling and beehive Austria mark (saucer a/f). Sold with note of Provenance August 1st 1936 (Sandringham). This cup and saucer formed part of a collection of Austrian china, given to HM Queen Mary on her Marriage July 6th 1893. 'HM Queen Mary gave me, S. Cumper this as a momento of King George V. I in turn give this cup to my sister Mrs H. Chandler Oct 1936'. Mr Sydney Cumper RVM was Queen Mary's loyal page until her death in 1952
