The upper section fitted with two long side hung drawer profusely inlaid with scrolling foliage depicted in penworked bone and mother-of-pearl. The shallow upper drawer with cabochon appliqués either side. The deep lower drawer with three protuberant cushion-front geometrically moulded panels; the divides embellished with split spindle turnings and fretted ornamentation reflected on the two doors of the lower cupboard section. The moulded base raised on bun feet, 44 ins (109 cms) wide, 25 ins (64 cms) deep and 491/2 ins (126 cms) tall.
A 17th Century Italian Renaissance Style Carved Walnut Cabinet on Stand having a bulge front frieze carved with scrolling foliage above two panel doors adorned with relief carved winged caryatids and centred by protuberant amorini heads. The breakfront pilasters in the form of a central caryatid and bearded atlantes either side. The drawers below with carved winged sea-horses and breakfront lion masks to the divides. Supported on the figures of crouching satyrs with a scotia moulded pot-shelf to the base, 60 ins (153 cms) wide, 71 ins (181 cms) in height.
