(2)This item contains ivory and has been registered with the UK Government and has the exemption certificate number W387C99U.CONDITION REPORT: Minor veneer losses to the corners.  Cabinets have not been adapted.  There are scuffs and marks to the reverse.  There are age-related minor chips to the veneer and surface marks, scratches to both.  The beading is lifting to door on both cabinet.  There is a small piece of beading lacking to one cabinet.  There are further surface marks to the door.  There are small pieces of beading lacking to the supports.  There is minor age-related fading to the veneer.

19th century French inlaid burr walnut pier cabinet, the inlaid frieze above a glazed door enclosing a shelved interior decorated with gilt metal mounts and beading, 107cm high, 85cm wide and 32cm deep.CONDITION REPORT: Old veneer damage to the top.  Repairs and staining to the top also.  There is a piece of beading lacking to the right side, beading lifting below the frieze and needing affixed.  Score marks, stains to the door and surround.  Further age-related stains and nibbles throughout.

Early 18th century Queen Anne walnut cabinet on chest, the cabinet top with a long drawer above two panelled doors enclosing assorted bachelor's drawers, over two short drawers and three long drawers with lion mask handles to the associated chest base, with iron carry handles, brackets and escutcheons, 170cm high, 102cm wide and 50cm deep.CONDITION REPORT: There is a handle lacking to the ride side top drawer.  There is a split to the join on the left side of the top section.  There is a small piece of wood lacking to the right door on the top section.  The locking mechanism on the door to the top section is functioning.  Later lock to the large internal door.  All other original iron locks to the top section and to the lower drawers.  Drawers open freely.  Age-related issues to the pine-lined drawers.  Some pieces of pine lacking.  Splits to the joins and areas of old worm to the pine drawers.  There are further splits to the joins on the sides of the lower section.  All over has age-related marks, minor chips, scrapes and colour fading.  Further age-related splits to the panelling to the reverse.  There are old cracks to areas of the panelling to the reverse also (need repaired or replacing).  Some areas of old worm to the back panelling also.
