A JAPANESE NANBAN-STYLE LACQUER CABINET MOMOYAMA OR EDO, 16TH/17TH CENTURYOf rectangular form with nine variously-shaped drawers, the doors and sides decorated with panels enclosing dense designs of birds and flowers in between borders of chevrons and other geometrical patterns; the decoration rendered in a multitude of raiden (mother of pearl) inlays and gold and black lacquer, the copper fittings and side loop handles with floral designs and tendrils, 29.5cm x 43cm x 29cm. A MINIATURE JAPANESE INLAID-IRON KODANSU (CABINET) BY KOMAI OTOJIRO MEIJI ERA, 19TH/20TH CENTURY The slightly-domed rectangular body raised on four bracket feet and with a loop handle to the top, with six variously-shaped drawers, one with a curved front, all with a silver-coloured pull handle; the cabinet is decorated all over with dense designs of birds, flowers, mon, monkeys, landscapes and brocade patterns; one cartouche with a shrine resembling Kiyomizu-dera in Kyoto; the sides with two large panels enclosing a pheasant perched on a flowering branch of peony to one side, and a butterfly fluttering above chrysanthemum to the other; the back of the cabinet with a complex scene of worshippers climbing steps leading to a shrine, the pavilion nestled amongst the trees; with seated lion dogs either side of the entrance and a sign inscribed Naritasan Fudoson below; the base with a square seal mark reading Nihon kuni Kyoto ju Komai sei, 12.2cm x 8.3cm x 5.4cm. A Worcester leaf shape dish. Circa 1760, polychrome painted with a dishevelled bird and insects, width 25cm, together with two 19th century cabinet plates, painted with a ruined castle and a fortified bridge (3).The largest dish is 25cm in width, the second largest is 22.5cm in width, and the smallest is 18.6cm in width. The leaf shaped dish has extensive restoration throughout, with multiple repaired cracks, No condition issues to the other plates in this lot, minimal wear to gilt. An Italian walnut, rosewood, bone, and ebony inlaid cabinet. 18th century and later, the upper part with a central cupboard enclosing four drawers, flanked by nine further drawers. The adapted central part fitted a drop front writing surface with a sliding top and drawers, with a later mirrored and carved rosewood base, height 149.5cm, width 113.5cm, depth 80cm.
An early 20th Century Royal Worcester posy vase, Hadley shape 283, of quatrelobed form with flared collar neck, hand painted with roses between gilded borders, printed marks and date of 1908, together with a small ornate ewer, Hadley shape 221, and a fallen fruits cabinet cup and saucer by Ricketts, damaged. A miniature Worcester reticulated cabinet cup and saucer, the double walled cup with reticulated outer walls highlighted in gold with a hand painted study of a bird, together with a matched saucer, unmarked, together with a Royal Worcester blush tea cup and saucer, transfer printed and painted with wild flowers and a smaller Locke & Co Worcester cup and saucer decorated with a peacock to a fir tree bough over blush ground. An early 19th Century Derby porcelain coffee can and dish form saucer, both hand enamelled with scenic views within gilded borders, against a deep blue ground with gilded foliate scrolls, underglaze red crown mark, together with two later 19th Century continental porcelain cabinet cups, one damaged. A 19th Century Copeland cabinet plate of circular form with pierced rim, decorated to the central well with a titled scenic view of Newark Castle depicting figures by a lake side with building to the distance, within a pale blue and gilded border, printed mark, width 23cm, together with a similar example depicting a shepherd and sheep to a woodland setting within pierced and gilded border. A 1960s composed teak and Indian laurel dining suite by W.H Russell for Gordon Russell Furniture Ltd, to comprise a model 805 extending dining table of convex rectangular outline, with central insert leaf, raised to chamfered and tapered legs, bearing paper label stating designer W.H. Russell, cabinet maker H.J. Mann and dated October 1961, height 75cm, width 105cm and length when extended 230cm, together with a set of ten model X6408 Burford chairs and a model R810 concave fronted sideboard, fitted with a central bank of four drawers flanked by a cupboard to either side and raised to chamfered tapered legs, bearing remnants of paper label dated July 1961, height 87cm, width 183cm and depth 49.5cm. (12) NB - The chairs in this lot are offered for sale as works of art. They may not comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) Safety Regulations 1988 and for this reason should not be used in a private dwelling.

Aldo Tura, Italy. Mid-century Modern lacquered goatskin bar cabinet. With a mirrored backing along the interior and glass shelves along the a light. Including the key to lock the cabinet and castors. Often referenced with Italian maverick designers such as Piero Fornasetti and Carlo Bugatti, Aldo Tura focused on creating his designs using specific materials rather than abundant figurative decorations.Height: 39 in x width: 31 1/2 in x depth: 15 3/4 in. />Condition: There are scuffs and scratches throughout. There are minute chips throughout, in particular along top and bottom edges of the left side. All hinges and key lock are functional, as is the interior light. There is wear as expected from age and use.
