A fine quality Queen Anne period walnut cabinet-on-chest having a base of two long and two short drawers below the cabinet arrangement of single long drawer, above two cupboard doors. The interior arrangement being eight upper-level pigeon-holes (the centre of which conceals a secret compartment), above a further interior single-door cupboard to the centre which sits above a recess-cavity and is flanked by a series of five drawers on either side. Within the interior cupboard, four further drawers. All raised on bun-feet, 42 ins wide x 64 ins high x 18.5 ins deep, circa 1690-1700
