A late 17th/early 18th Century Continental ebony collector`s cabinet, possibly Dutch, raised on a later ebonized stand, the panelled hinge top revealing an interior inset with a mirror flanked by two painted landscape scenes, above a pair of panelled doors enclosing an arrangement of ten drawers and a central cupboard with a mirrored interior, the top drawer with an applied gilt metal mount of Europa and the Bull, surrounded by inset panels painted with landscapes, buildings, figures, hounds, deer and goats, the sides fitted with gilt metal handles above a single drawer, the stand on hexagonal tapering legs united by a shaped stretcher, height approx 31.5cm, width approx 61cm (alterations and restoration).
