A 17th Century Ebonised & Tortoiseshell Veneered Cabinet on Stand inlaid with ebony & bone chevron stringing and having decorative pressed sheet metal mounts with protuberant tortoiseshell baguette bosses and applied ripple moulding. The central door surrounded by ten small drawers and opening to reveal a mirrored interior above a further shallow drawer. The later stand on eight barley twist legs leading down to an under-shelf, 54¾ ins (139 cms) high, 32 ins (81 cms) wide, 14½ ins (37 cms) deep.(A/F)
A Splendid 17th Century Flemish Tortoiseshell Veneered Collectors Cabinet with ebonised ripple mouldings and ornate brass mounts standing on an associated 19th century table base. The cabinet of architecture form having a central break-front door mounted with gilt figure of a goddess standing in an arched niche on parquetry floor flanked by barley twist side columns, and opening to reveal four internal drawers inlaid with bone stringing and fitted with small lion-mask ring handles. The eight side drawers edged in ebonised ripple moulding and surmounted by a balustraded gallery with winged eagle finial. Standing on six turned feet 38 ins (97 cms) high, 42 ins (107 cms) wide, 13 ins (33 cms) deep. The table base with rectangular bevelled top inlaid with stringing and having a pierced giltwood apron of carved foliate scrolls, and silhouette cut ebonised scroll legs united by peripheral stretchers, 32 ins (81 cms) high, 51 ins (130 cms) wide, 23½ ins (60 cms) deep.
Five Flemish Gothic Pierced Oak Fragment Panels finely carved with undulating stems of fruiting foliage. To include; a pair of cabinet doors with intricate pierced rebates backed in red cloth and framed by moulded borders, 14 ins x 13½ ins (36 cms x 34.5 cms), a pair of plinth rails with ogee cut bases, also with red cloth backing 4¾ ins x 13½ ins (12 cms x 34 cms), and a single open carved panel; 15 ins x 4¾ ins (38 cms x 12 cms).
A Queen Anne Walnut Veneered Table Cabinet. The door inlaid with feather banding in a cross-banded border and opening to reveal a fitted interior of small drawers with brass drop handles and moulding to the divides. Standing on a moulded base with bun feet, 16½ ins (42 cms) high, 14½ ins (37 cms) wide, 8 ins (20 cms) deep.
An 18th Century Rosewood Oyster Veneered Chest on Chest. The upper section having a moulded top over two top drawers and decoratively veneered doors adorned with gilt metal rosette mounts. The door opening to reveal a fitted interior with a cabinet of recessed inner drawers surrounded by twelve further drawers framed by D-moulding. The base chest housing three long drawers with swing handles on rosette cast oval back plates, and standing on bun feet, 66 ins (168 c,ms) high, 44 ins (112 cms) wide, 17 ins (43 cms) deep.
