Nur wenige Häuser stehen vor den Mauern, einige Personen haben sich auf der weiten Wiese niedergelassen und unterhalten sich. Im unterhalb der Darstellung befindlichen hs. Text heißt es: "Berlin has long been regarded among the finest Cities of Europe. The Royal Palace is magnificent, there is a fine library with a rich cabinet of curiosities and medals ...". - Im unteren Rand mit wieder angesetztem, etwa 3 mm breiten Abschnitt. Leicht gebräunt.

Berlin 1964.Der erste Katalog der Galerie des 22-jährigen René Block, der Anfang 1964 in der Berliner Kurfürstenstraße das Grafische Cabinet René Block eröffnete und wenig später in die Frobenstraße 18 in Schöneberg zog. Die erste Ausstellung zeigte (hier teils abgebildet) Arbeiten von Brehmer, Hödicke, Kaufmann, Kuttner, Lueg, Lympasik, Polke, Quinte, Richter und Vostell. "Zur Einführung" ein Auszug aus décollage No. 1. Auf dem Vorderumschlag die "Voranzeige" einer Beuys-Ausstellung (November-Dezember 1964). - Bis auf den kleinen Umschlagdefekt sehr gut erhalten.

The Schjöth Collection at the Numismatic Cabinet of the University of Oslo, Norway, Published by London Luzac, 1929, one vol. together with Cheng Te-K'un, Archaeology in China, Published by Heffer (1959-63), three vols. and Archaeological Studies in Szechwan, 1967 (5)CONDITION: Provenance - Alfred Theodore Arber-Cooke (c.1905-1993); thence by family descent. Arber-Cooke was an antiquarian and avid collector of Asian works of art, coins and antiquities principally collecting from the 1930s to the 1970s. He amassed a good reference library on Chinese & Asian coins and wrote on several occasions (1969-70) to to the academic F.A. Turk regarding the study of coin amulets and other non-currency coinages of China.Arber-Cooke initially lived in Wimbledon, Greater London and was involved with the Surrey Archaeological Society. He wrote the book 'Old Wimbledon', with a foreword the MP Sir Arthur Fell, published in 1927. He later moved to Llandovery in Carmarthenshire, Wales, again involved with local archaeology and wrote the History of Llandovery, published in 1975.
