A Meissen cabinet plate, blue crossed swords mark and decorated with roses and gilding. Diameter 30 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This plate is in generally extremely good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. There is some very minor rubbing to the gilding on the edge this is however minimal.
A Victorian walnut chemists cabinet, with series of glazed cupboards, fall front cabinets enclosing pigeonholes and drawers and also fitted with further drawers and cupboard to the base and raised on brass feet. Width 193 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The cornice and sides of the upper section are in very good order. The upper doors are all in good condition with no warping. The interior shelves appear to be all present. The three fall front cupboards appear to be in good order. The base is in generally very good condition with no issues other than slight staining to the shelf and plinth. The left hand return plinth moulding appears to be missing. The brass capped feet are original and in good order.
A late 19th/early 20th century Schoolbred side cabinet, with moulded dentil cornice above a pair of glazed doors with wooden astragals, the base with bowfront fitted with two drawers with brass knob handles and raised on splayed bracket feet united by a low shelf, all embellished with floral marquetry. Width 85 cm (see illustration).
A Regency mahogany side cabinet/bookcase, with rear mirrored galleried upstand with four turned pillars with brass capitals, the inverted breakfront fitted with a series of shelves to the centre and flanked on either side by a cupboard door with brass grilles, with turned columns on either side and raised on lobed feet. Width 213 cm (see illustration).
A George III yew wood hanging corner cupboard, with partially glazed door with wooden astragals and flanked by canted angles. Width 76 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The cabinet is in reasonable order. There is a small loss to the top right hand corner of the applied moulded cornice. The canted angles are both in generally good condition. The door is not warped but does have minor scratches and the odd very small piece of cockbeading missing to the astragals. The centre lower oval glass panel is cracked and there is a small crack to the top right hand glass panel. The bottom door which is separate from the top is also not warped. Both locks are present but we do not have a key and the two ivory or bone half round catches are very old but clearly must be later. The right hand return moulding is missing.
An Edwardian inlaid mahogany display case, with leaded glass doors and raised on splayed legs. Width 75.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This display case is in reasonable order. There are some minor scuffs to the cornice but no real condition issues. The doors are not warped and there is no cracked glass. The piece is structurally solid and the legs undamaged. The interior cloth lining is discoloured and dirty. The cabinet itself has numerous small old paint flecks (from decorating). These should clean off.
A Victorian inlaid walnut decanter box, opening to four decanters and liquer glasses. Width 33 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The top of the cabinet has a stress fracture running right across the top following the line of the top ebony tramline. There is also a small veneer loss to the ebony on the left hand side just below the beginning of the fracture. The remainder of the lid is in good condition. The serpentine front panel is in good condition as are the folding side panels. The front of the base is in good order. The right hand return has approximately 3 cm square of veneer loss. The left hand side and rear are in good order. All of the interior brasswork locks and hinges are in good order. The metal framework which houses the decanters and glasses is in good condition. One decanter is perfect. The other three all have chips to the top lips of the bases. All stoppers are present and correct. Ten of the twelve glasses are perfect. Two have one chip each to the top rim, the chips are small. There may have originally been fifteen glasses but there are now only twelve.
Two Royal Doulton cabinet plates, one decorated with roses and signed "C. Hart", the other with figures to the border singed "P. Curnock". Each diameter 27 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both plates are in generally very good condition with no repairs and no restoration. The plate with the white centre has some very minor rubbing to the gilding and the odd surface scratch to the white centre. The roses plate is in good order with only very minor and insignificant scratches to the rose painting. There is also some minor rubbing to the gilding particularly on the underside edge of the foot rim.
