A fine early 20th century serpentine-fronted mahogany side cabinet in 18th century-style; white marble top, gilt highlighted rope-style frieze with a central foliate carving below, raised on four highly ornate gilt legs terminating in claw-and-ball feet (124cm wide x 53.5cm deepest x 101cm high)Condition Report: In the Auctioneer's opinion the gilding has probably been applied at a later date, upon close inspection it looks reasonably fresh and looking at the feet there are little indentations and some minor dents etc which have been covered over with this later gilding/paint. Overall the cabinet appears very showy and is of very fine quality and has a great look about it. Condition - very good overall commensurate with age.

Some slight natural losses to the gesso with small losses around the flower bells and base. Right-hand cupboard door with some rubbing to the paintwork but generally in good decorative order (see images).

The upper section is slightly faded compared to the base. Fret work pediment with repair. Right-hand glazed door with patch repair and further fault. End panels with old handle? marks. Previous escutcheon marks visible. Base - drawer front is split and bottom shelf with further natural ? splits. With key and working lock (see images).
~ A Victorian Mahogany Four-Door Library Bookcase, 2nd half 19th century, the bold cornice above four glazed doors enclosing a later velvet lined interior, an open section below flanked by two cupboard doors with adjustable shelves, 305cm by 49cm by 276cmThe top is removable therefore the bookcase is in two pieces. This cabinet has some later additions, it was used as a gun cabinet so the upper section is green baize lined. Central glazed doors - the right-hand section has a later drawer added and an aperture to receive guns. Lower left-hand panel with traces of paint. The plinth base with numerous scuffs. The right-hand front corner with section of timber missing and small damage to the moulding. Front-right hand corner of the upper section with section of timber missing. Glazed doors are later.

An Early 20th Century Chinese Hardwood Side Cabinet, the top section with moulded and scrolled handles above two drawers decorated with dragons' heads, with two cupboard doors below enclosing a shelf, decorated overall with scrolls, 125cm by 44cm by 96cm Cosmetically good however with slight colour loss/fading around the drawers. The top also has a shrinkage split (see image). Otherwise the carved detail is good. There is no lock for the cupboard doors.
A Dutch Walnut Display Cabinet, in 17th century style, the moulded top above glazed doors enclosing two fixed shelves with two drawers below, on scrolled supports and a flattened stretcher, 115cm by 33cm by 205cmReasonable colour and condition. Small veneer loss to the left-hand panel (see image). Small shrinkage splits around the door and moulding. Section of veneer missing on the internal bar (see image). Also patch repair on middle section corner. Some colouring and minor repair work around drawer fronts.
A Pair of Regency Mahogany Uxbridge Library Reading Chairs, early 19th century, possibly by Gillows, the rectangular backs and reeded frames with removable cream upholstered squab cushions, turned baluster arm supports and turned legs with brass capped toes and castors, 64cm by 71cm by 94cm Provenance: Delamere House, CheshireThomas Chippendale the Younger (1749-1822) referred to caned chairs as hunting chairs. Also revered to as such by Thomas Sheraton in his Cabinet Dictionary of 1803, formed temporary resting place for one that is fatigued as hunters generally are. Other examples sometimes furnished with a reading slide or footrest. This particular chair, which is similar to a Gillows example, was formerly referred to as Ashburnham, while by 1807 it is referred to as an Uxbridge chair after one supplied to Henry Bayly, 1st Earl of Uxbridge
Poul Cadovius (1911-2011) for CADO - an extensive 1960s Danish teak wall-mounted modular wall unit, comprising; eight upright wall-mounted batons, the modular units consisting of one chest of four long drawers, two fallfront cabinets, a pair of twin panelled sliding double door cupboards, two further narrow depth double panelled sliding door cabinets, a matching twin glazed sliding door cabinet, a further matching open shelved compartment, and six adjustable shelves with brass rod supports, with further bag of fixing screws, cabinets and shelf width each 80cmCondition report: This needs to be drilled to the wall to be constructed – we have seen a photograph of it constructed but have not done it ourselves.Various small scratches to the tops of the teak sections, nothing particularly major and a bottle of scratch remover would remedy most of these.Overall appears clean and perfectly useable.

A mid 20th century hardwood bureau, of serpentine shape, on claw and ball feet, by Rockford Cabinet Co, together with a Victorian balloon back chair and an oak occasional table (3)92w x 110h x 50d cmCondition report: Bureau - Usable but scruffy. Slightly sun bleached to the front. Inside is scruffy with quite a lot of wear and dirty. No keys, but all the drawers run ok, handles are complete and match. Various light signs of use and wear throughout.
