19th Century mahogany bookcase cabinet . Cornice with some losses to veneer, shrinkage crack in moulding. Base with major shrinkage cracks to both side panels and top. Glass panels in cupboard base possibly not original. One drawer front lacking drop handle. Drawer fronts and cupboard doors with shrinkage cracks, filler and losses. Surface marks and wear consistent with age and use.
A set of Royal Worcester porcelain cabinet cups and saucers decorated with fruit on mossy banks, signed by various artists including Lockyer, Phillips, Hart, Harper and Ricketts in original presentation case, puce mark with date code for 1918, with just 1 or 2 slight variations in date mark(cup 57mm saucer 97mm diam, one saucer has some crazing and a couple of very minor chips around circular ridge at centre. A bit of minor wear to gilt)

Dexter, Royal Military Asylum, Chelsea, circa 1860-70, a Victorian mahogany collector's chest, containing six drawers of curios, each drawer with printed paper label title, comprising: Manufactured Articles, Animal Substances, Vegetable Productions, and Minerals & Metals, the inner doors with original green paper label with the title and manufacturer's name and address, samples include Felspar, Portland Stone, Coquilla Nut, Gutta Percha Raw, wood and hardware samples, 44 cm high x 32 cm wide x 37 cm deep, with a photocopy of Dexter's 1857 catalogue included Thomas Dexter describes his Cabinet of Objects in the preface to his publication 'Animal and Vegetable Substances used in the arts and manufactures, illustrative of the imports and exports of Great Britain and her colonies: and explanatory of Dexter's cabinet of objects', published by Groombridge and Sons in 1857: 'This collection will be found invaluable in pointing out the extent and variety of our import and export trade, the source of our commercial greatness, and useful in every branch of that sound and practical education which has for its object the preparation of the Pupil to enact his part in the busy scenes of life'. A stripped and lightly polished pine display cabinet, the upper section with a shaped cornice centred by a sun roundel above two arched glazed doors hinging to reveal a shelved interior, the sub section set with two drawers raised above double cupboards on compressed bun feet, 206cm H, 90cm W, 43cm D.
