A fine exhibition standard 5 inch gauge model of 4-6-2 London Midland and Scottish Princess Royal Class tender locomotive No 6201 ‘Princess Elizabeth’, based on the William Stanier design in 1933, the silver soldered copper boiler with detailed back-head fittings including steam pressure gauge, twin water sight-glasses with associated copper pipework, regulator, screw direction control, lever operated fire-box door, brake gear, simulated plank flooring to cab, safety valves and injector. The chassis with twin outside cylinders having Walschaert’s valve gear, cylinder drains with associated copper pipe-work, fluted motion and fitted whistle. The 4000-gallon six-wheel tender with coal compartment and water pump. The model is finished in traditional ‘crimson lake’ lined livery with detailed rivet-work, fitted steps, hand irons, lamp irons, vacuum hoses and couplings. LMS builders and number plates. Locomotive length 208cm. Cab width 26cm. This fine locomotive comes together with a polished hardwood glazed case on floor stand with fitted display track.
