The exterior painted with a scene of birds and a pagoda on a black ground, H161cm x W90cm x D45cm Condition Report: Appears in a good condition for its age, some small knocks around the edges with a 2cm light scratch on the left hand door. Scratches on the interior shelf. There is a crack on the left hand stretcher of the base, that has been glued back together. Surface marks to the top.

A late Victorian oak smoker’s cabinet modelled as a sentry box with a watercolour panel by Richard Simkin (1840-1926), with slatted pitched roof, the hinged front door with glass panel with original watercolour of a soldier of ‘The Seaforth Highlanders' standing to attention, opening to reveal three drawers each with flush fitting brass finger pulls, the sprung lock which locks when the door is pushed shut can only be opened by key, 12cm wide, 12cm deep, 26.5cm high***CONDITION REPORT***Overall of a good rich mid to ginger brown oak tone, minor chipping to the corners of the tiled roof on the lower right side, otherwise in good order, watercolour is signed by R. Henry of London, with shelved superstructure over a fall front enclosing sheet music shelves with ornate brass strap work hinges, on squared legs, stamped J.S. Henry on the back, 67cm wide, 40cm deep, 172cm high***CONDITION REPORT***Overall of a mid to reddish mahogany, brown colour with a slightly dull finish, a little more faded to the front upright. Rather dusty with very light wear to the extremities of the bookshelves, a horizontal split running through the main door, lock and key look original and are working, some slight scratching to the internal shelves which have been cut further away to allow for the hinges. Drawers and doors functioning well. Some slight lifting in places to veneer and moulding. Joints sound and solid. Perfectly usable in its current condition. No evidence of woodworm.
