A mahogany and tulipwood banded collector’s cabinet, late 19th/ early 20th century, of architectural form, the hinged top opening to two slide covered recesses, the front with three hinged falls each enclosing five small drawers and separated by pilasters, 30cm high, 27cm wide, 17cm deep Provenance: The collection of the late Professor Michael Jaffé, Clifton Maybank. A Scottish ebonised and gilt metal mounted side cabinet, last quarter 19th century, in Napoleon III style, with onyx top above a pair of doors enclosing height adjustable shelves, the rear stamped for Morison & co, Edinburgh and serial numbered, 98cm high, 89cm wide, 46cm deep Morison & Co. of Edinburgh was established in 1808 and it expanded under the management of the Reid family to become one of the premier cabinet makers in Scotland with branches in Glasgow and Manchester. Many examples of their work can be found at Lauriston Castle, Edinburgh the former home of the Reid family.
A '17th century' oak block front half cabinet, rectangular top above a frieze drawer and a pair of rectangular doors enclosing further drawers, applied with geometric mouldings and split turnings, carved bun feet, 101cm high, 106cm wide (an old reconstruction incorporating some period timbers)
A Derby coffee cup and saucer, painted by Zachariah Boreman, en puce camaïeu with riverside landscapes, each reserve within gilt interlocking ovals, gilt trailing borders of leaves and berries, gilt line rim, the cup 6.5cm high, the saucer 12.6cm diam, decorator's mark numbered 1 in puce for Thomas Soar, puce crown, crossed batons and dots over D, c.1785; a conforming cup, c.1785; a later saucer, similar, 13.1cm diam, red crown, crossed batons and dots over D, c.1810 (4) For a similar cabinet solitaire see: Hoyte, The Charles Norman Collection of 18th Century Derby Porcelain, 1996, page 22.Provenance: The Wilders Collection, labelled. Condition Report: The puce marked saucer with a stabilised slight hairline, 3.5cm long; stable nibble to footrim and further stained nibbles to exterior rim. One coffee cup with an exterior blemish over gilt band at one section; the other good. Keane period saucer crazed. Otherwise anticipated surface wear.

A Derby Topographical cabinet saucer, painted by John Brewer, pencilled en black camaïeu with a figure riding through a village, on a bloom ground, raised white beaded border, broad gilt rim, 13.5cm diam, red crown, crossed batons and dots over D, c.1815; a Derby Bute-shaped breakfast teacup and saucer, pattern 748, painted en red camaïeu with a frieze of acorns and oak leaves, on gilt ground, the deep saucer 15cm diam, decorator's mark numbered 3 in red, red crown, crossed batons and dots over D, c.1820; a Derby fluted teapot, angular scroll handle, 17cm high, puce crown, crossed batons and dots over D, c. 1795; a Derby circular dessert plate, decorated in imitation of a Japanese Kakiemon palette, gilt rim, 21.5cm diam, c.1820, Bonhams label to verso (4) Condition Report: Crazed cabinet saucer with expected wear and some rubbed gilding, two filled rom chips and two cracks - the largest 3cm long. Firing blemish to base of cup, saucer good, just expected light wear. The teapot restored throughout but fairly well. Dessert plate good but for light wear.
