Cabinet, early twentieth century twenty four drawer hard wood, with quantity of world coins including USA and some better material, including USA 5c 1832, gVF, Great Britain Halfcrown 1861, contemporary counterfeit apparently in silver, heavily sheared in three places possibly by the Royal Mint, extremely rare
A 20th Century walnut and mahogany veneered period reproduction drinks cabinet, the double doors opening to reveal a fitted interior above two shallow frieze drawers falling to an acanthus fretwork apron and raised to four acanthus scroll cabriole legs finished to hairy claw and ball feet, 47” wide by 57” high.
A late 19th/early 20th Century Arts & Crafts, Gothic revival inspired, oak break front bookcase. The upper deep pediment decorated with a heavily carved acanthus scroll frieze with central lions head detail falling to a four door bookcase, the doors decorated with hand leaded lights with armorial inspired detail including port-cullis and central English roses. The whole raised to a cabinet base with three upper frieze drawers decorated with conforming deep relief-carved detail set above the four- door base with fielded geometric panels, 84” wide by 97” high by 18” deep. . Reference. It is believed that this piece originally formed part of the boardroom decorating scheme at the Birds Custard Factory, Digbeth.
A 19th Century French rosewood veneered serpentine fronted side display cabinet, caddy top above single glazed panelled door with velvet lined interior, further painted panels depicting a courting couple and rural scenes, decorated with gilt metal acanthus mounts and finished to squat cabriole front legs, 36” wide by 69” high and 15” deep.
