The central area of the back shaped as a shield (formerly lined with cloth). Provenance: the owner had the 33rd Degree in a Masonic lodge, the throne has always been owned by the family and the heirs now sell it. This outstanding, cabinet-making piece was used during the filming of the well-known movie 'Eyes Wide Shut', the last masterpiece of Stanley Kubrick, during one of the final scenes, when Tom Cruise is in front of the Lodge's Master, who sits on the throne that we present. The red filling of the back was removed by the family some years ago; the family also owns an autograph letter of Stanley Kubrick where the director thanks the owner for his kind permission of using the throne during one of the most important scenes of the movie, quoting several Masonic references. dimensions 81 x 75 x 184,5 cm.
