A large and impressive Victorian brass skeleton clock, ornate pierced steel chapter ring, shaped and scrolled movement, double fusee 8-day chain-driven mechanism striking on a bell and a gong, no maker's marks, the clock raised on a velvet and stepped marble base under rectangular glass cabinet, cabinet height 70cm, original pendulum and keyAll in very good bright condition, very good quality clock from a local private house and in good working order, the velvet covered base is worn, original pendulum with blued steel decoration matches the decoration on the clock, cabinet also in good working order
A Victorian mahogany two-section centre-standing museum display cabinet on stand, with side opening glazed doors, bow-glass panels, two slides and raised on cabriole legs with applied carved decoration. Attributed to F.Sage & Co. of London. 108x167x70cm. Currently on display in the Granary Saleroom.Good condition for age. No visible maker's or retailer's stamps, attribution is due to the engraving on the latches. Circa 1880-1900, judging by fittings. No keys. Various marks, scratches, and signs of use. Split in pull-out slide. Base of top section may have been replaced.
