A COLLECTION OF 27 SILVER-MOUNTED STEEL BOOT HOOKS MOUNTED FOR DISPLAY IN A GLAZED DEMI-LUNE WALL CABINET the steel boot hooks with silver embossed handles and include some unusual and rarer examples including one in the form of a lion's head with green glass eyes; a Chinese export example of tapering form, the tapering handle entwined with a dragon; a pistol-handled example embossed with bamboo and leaves; another embossed with the Kings pattern; another drop-shaped of hammered form with a vacant round reserve; a large example embossed with a mask within scrolls and leaves, 24cm long overall (9 ½ in); and many of shaped outline embossed with a variety of foliate scrolls and shaped cartouches, various dates, makers and marks, mostly English circa 1898-1919, however there are four examples with foreign marks or lacking marks; all attractively and professionally mounted on green baize in a demi-lune shaped mahogany wall display cabinet, this approx. 33.5cm high (13 in), 68.5cm wide (27 in); and accompanied by a photocopy of an insurance valuation carried out by Leith of Taunton on 25th October 1996
