A George III mahogany linen cabinet, the interior fitted with secretaire.The cabinet presents scratches, signs of usage, missing bit of wood in middle section of top bit, several scratches and marks on the inside as well, crack of the wooden rim between top bit and middle section, where top sits on. all handles are original, missing veneer in one area, No other major issues with the cabinet.

A late 17th/18th century oak dome top tall cabinet, the interior with shelves and seven drawers, raised on ball feet, 39 cm w x 34 cm x 174 cm hTop panel to door has a thin split and a few repairs to side beading to both flanks plus a 16 cm piece of beading missing. Overall good condition for age.

MATCHBOX; a late 1970s plastic rotating shop display cabinet with numbered 'windows', height 64cm. Additional InformationThe lift off top section is a little split around the edges and corner points, a couple of small losses, fading to the colour as expected. It still swivels correctly and overall ok condition.
CHAMBERLAINS WORCESTER; a near set of six cabinet plates in the Oriental manner, each with shaped rim and four panels set with various stylised animals and symbols, painted mark also numbered 75 in puce, diameter 21cm.Additional InformationAll plates with some rubbing and wear to the gilding and a few light glaze scratches. Some imperfections within the glaze and one with a firing crack to the underside of plate. One plate feels slightly thicker potted than the others.
MINTONS; a good late 19th century cabinet plate with Bleu Celeste ground, gilded border and central hand painted panel of plover, impressed marks, also painted mark P3069-2, diameter 24.25cm.Additional InformationVery minor rubbing to the gilding and a couple of very light surface marks to the turquoise ground.
SEVRES; a cabinet plate with gilt decorated border on a dark blue ground and with central panel, signed Quentin, decorated with a couple seated in an interior drinking and one smoking a clay pipe, painted and printed marks to the reverse and also bearing an old collection label verso, diameter 23.5cm.Additional InformationMinor rubbing to the gilding but basically in good condition.
AMBERG; the Amberg Imperial letter file, a walnut cabinet with moulded cornice above tambour front and forty-five drawers to a substantial plinth base, height 203cm, width 125cm, depth 43cm.Additional InformationThe tambour is seized and will not operate, heavy surface wear throughout as you would image, residue to the door fronts, each has an oval section where the named plaques would be and there are three pull-out slides around half way down each bank of drawers.

Polis??', with a 19th century cabinet plate with three hand painted floral panels and central armorial crest, possibly Minton, diameter 24cm, three pieces of modern faience ware, a blue and white tureen and cover in the form of a duck, etc.Additional InformationThe blue rectangular stand with five chips to the underside of the edge and a few other smaller nicks. The carved stone figure carrying the basket with some small chips and scuffs throughout the piece. The plates with some minor rubbing to the gilding.

General age wear patina of knocks and scuffs consistent with age throughout, but generally ok. One shelf to the interior has been notched out to allow space for the larger lock plate.

In der sich öffnenden Himmelsgloriole darüber erscheint Gottvater umgeben von Engeln, während der Heilige Geist in Form einer Taube herabkommt.Dr. Ertz unterstreicht in seinem Gutachten, dass die gesamte Komposition, sowohl Landschaft als auch die vielen Figuren, von Jan Brueghel dem Jüngeren selbst geschaffen wurden. Die vielfigurige Komposition der Taufe Christi geht auf ein Gemälde gleichen Themas von Hans Rottenhammer und Jan Brueghel dem Älteren vom Ende der 1620er Jahre zurück (vgl. Lit. Klaus Ertz und Christa Nitze-Ertz, Jan Brueghel der Ältere (1568 – 1625). Kritischer Katalog der Gemälde, Band II, Lingen 2008, S. 559f., Kat. 260, 260a). "Die an der Malweise des Vaters geschulte Pinselführung, die in liebevoller Genauigkeit jedem einzelnen Detail dieser Komposition nachspürt, deutet auf eine Entstehung in den frühen 1630er Jahren hin. In dieser neutestamentarischen Komposition, die auf eine Erfindung von Hans Rottenhammer und Jan Brueghel d. Ä. zurückgeht, wird deutlich, dass Jan d. J. es meisterhaft versteht, altes Gedankengut mit neuen Formen und eigenen stilistischen Mitteln zu verknüpfen." Eine bemerkenswerte Besonderheit des Gemäldes sieht Dr. Ertz "im Widerschein des von der oberen Mitte kommenden Lichts, das die Figuren im Vorder- und Mittelgrund gleichsam zum "Glühen" bringt."
