This car appears in Near Mint condition with only light storage marks and some rub marks from the box on some of the edges. It would benefit from some gentle cleaning. The windscreen has never been fitted and is still clear and flexible and the instruction sheet is still present. The original box has survived with plenty of wear but with all the original 1971 Tri-ang Pedigree and Barclay Toys logos still clear to see. (This does not constitute a guarantee)

The cape has the cross hatching on as per the photograph. We are 100% sure that this is genuine due to the provenance. All defects on the cape can be seen on the photos. Stephens, some light foxing, mostly to plates, contemporary olive green half calf over marbled boards, spines gilt, rubbed, corners bumped, folio, 1818-23.⁂ The text block of this copy measures c.380 x 266mm. According to Lowndes, only 25 copies of this large paper format were issued [Lowndes 1656]. The copy featured in the Marlborough Rare Books catalogue 207 contains an additional third state of the frontispiece to vol. 1.
