Seltene monumentale Figur "Fisch"Auf stilisiertem Sockel über hoher, aufschäumender Welle, in nahezu senkrechter Haltung dargestellter Karpfenfisch mit weit geöffnetem, spitzzahnigem Maul. Der Entwurf des Fischs gehört zu einer bedeutenden Gruppe von insgesamt 16 monumentalen Tierfiguren und Fabelwesen nach Modellen Arthur Storchs und Hugo Meisels. Von der Aeltesten Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur wurden sie 1921 mit aufsehenerregendem Prestige-Erfolg erstmals zur Leipziger Frühjahrsmesse im "Porzellan-Palais" gezeigt. Aufgrund ihrer außergewöhnlichen Größe stellte die Herstellung eine besondere technische Herausforderung dar, wodurch die Figuren nur in Kleinserie von schätzungsweise kaum mehr als 10 Exemplaren je Modell ausgeformt wurden. Seit den Meissener Großfiguren J. G. Kirchners und J. J. Kaendlers für August den Starken hatte niemand mehr den Versuch gewagt, derartige Leistungen "künstlerischer und technischer Kunstfertigkeit" zu schaffen. Vgl. Kat. Das Modell entstand im Zusammenhang mit der berühmten Gruppe von 16 monumentalen Tierplastiken der Modelleure Hugo Meisel und Arthur Storch, mit der die Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur 1921 großes Aufsehen erregte, als diese unter Leitung des Architekten Hans Poelzig maßgeblich an der Ausgestaltung des erstmals als Messehaus genutzten "Porzellan-Palais" in Leipzig beteiligt war. Aufgrund ihrer außergewöhnlichen Größe stellte die Herstellung eine besondere, technische Herausforderung dar. Noch heute gelten diese als Meisterstücke "künstlerischer und technischer Kunstfertigkeit". Umlaufend farbiger Marinedekor aus reservengerahmten Ankermotiven und -ketten, Schiffstau- und Ornamentbordüren sowie Reichsapfelsymbolik (Derzhava), dem bekrönten Zarenmonogramm und dem russischen Doppeladler. Dunkel- und königsblaue bzw. smaragdgrüne Fonds. Polychrome Aufglasurmalerei mit reicher Goldstaffage. Teilw. Haarrisse. Grüne Manufakturmarke. Kannen-H. 19,5 cm. Das in den Jahren 1871 bis 1874 in der Kaiserlichen Manufaktur entstandene Service wurde speziell für die Zarenfamilie Romanow gefertigt. Der Entwurf stammt von Ippolit Monighetti, Architekt und Professor an der Kaiserlichen Akademie der Künste in St. Petersburg, der zudem mit der Innenausstattung der Kaiserlichen Yacht "Derzhava" (Derschawa) betraut wurde. WW2 German banker Hjalmar Schacht signed white card. Very rare WW2 autograph. Hjalmar Schacht (born Horace Greeley Hjalmar Schacht; 22 January 1877 - 3 June 1970, German economist, banker, centre-right politician, and co-founder of the German Democratic Party. He served as the Currency Commissioner and President of the Reichsbank under the Weimar Republic. He was a fierce critic of his country's post-World War I reparations obligations. He was also central in helping create the group of German industrialists and landowners that pushed Hindenburg to appoint the first NSDAP-led government. He served in Adolf Hitler's government as President of the Central Bank (Reichsbank) 1933-1939 and as Minister of Economics (August 1934 - November 1937). While Schacht was for a time feted for his role in the German economic miracle, he opposed elements of Hitler's policy of German re-armament insofar as it violated the Treaty of Versailles and (in his view) disrupted the German economy. His views in this regard led Schacht to clash with Hitler and most notably with Hermann Göring. He resigned as President of the Reichsbank in January 1939. He remained as a Minister-without-portfolio, and received the same salary, until he left the government in January 1943. In 1944, Schacht was arrested by the Gestapo following the assassination attempt on Hitler on 20 July 1944 because he allegedly had contact with the assassins. Subsequently, he was interned in the concentration camps and later at Flossenburg. In the final days of the war, he was one of the 139 special and clan prisoners[a] who were transported by the SS from Dachau to South Tyrol. This location is within the area named by Himmler the Alpine Fortress, and it is speculated that the purpose of the prisoner transport was the intent of holding hostages.
