An extremely rare painted wood teapot form tea caddy, early 19th century, oval form, parcel gilt decoration with a fan patera on a 'mahogany' brown ground, the hinged lid with turned finial to a foil lined interior, 7in. (17.8 cm.) high, 9in. (22.8cm.) long. * Condition: Very small old hairline splits to lid above hinge (please see photo). These are totally stable and do not affect the integrity of the hinge attachment. The lid has a very slight smile, which is only noticeable under close inspection. Old surface marks throughout but very little actual wear to brown paint. Some wear to gilding. Overall in good, very original condition.
A very rare Edwardian novelty travelling inkwell, realistically modelled as an orange, covered in orange leather quadrants to form segments, brown paper stalk to the top, opening to reveal the gilt brass interior with inner cap and glass inkwell, 2½ in. (6.3cm.) diameter. * Condition: In very good condition, push button opening/hinge works very well with no wear, kept its colour very well, inner inkwell and glass jar very good ( a little clean needed).

A rare and important, possibly unknown, 19th century photograph of Cannibal Tom, depicting the famed creophagous tribesman bearing a blowpipe in his right hand and machete in his left, dressed in a loin cloth before a foliate background, 8 x 6in. (20.3 x 15.3cm.); plus another smaller image of three Samoan natives and three views of the river Avon, New Zealand verso, all pasted to card. (3) * Condition: Card with browning and light foxing.
A rare Channel Islands silver novelty cruet stand by Bruce Russell, with salt and pepper casters modelled as Martello towers, hallmarked silver exteriors with removable walnut dispensers, once removed the silver towers can then be used a candle sticks utilising the two accompanying silver and walnut sconces, on rectangular walnut base with raised circular deposit for each tower, bears a replica silver gilt seal as used to document the recordings of the Royal Court, confirming the gift of certain lands in Guernsey to the Abbey of the Mont Saint Michel in 1179, limited to 80 pairs, with signed certificate, 3in. (7.6cm.) high, silver weight 15.9 tr.oz. * Condition: Very good condition. The only fault is that the silver sleeves are loose from the walnut casters beneath and can be slid off - there is some dusty white glue residue on the surface of the walnut. Easily fixed.
A rare Channel Islands 19th century twin handled frog mug, with lilac transferred leaves and berries and the wording 'Randall' to front body, transferred flowers, leaves and drinking verse to rear, the interior sides of the mug has two climbing frogs, the inner base has a salamander, 5.25in. (13.3cm.) high. * Condition: Two tiny top lip hairlines, a fingernail size manufacturing fault on front L/H berry decoration, general age crazing.
A rare and unusual Norwegian silver belt by Henrik Moller, late 19th century, the front section with central roundel with raised acanthus decoration flanked by chain linked panels of alternating grotesque masks and squares with trefoil foliate emblems to each corner, the back with chain linked rectangular panels of eternal knots, marked 'H. Moller, 830, Trondheim' to reverse of roundel, 30½in. (77.5cm.) long, weight 10.7 tr.oz. * Condition: In good condition overall, commenusrate with age - appears to be original with no repairs.
A rare Edwardian novelty silver pin cushion, Levi Salaman, Birmingham 1905, the pig is of traditional shape but instead of the open cushion as usual, this version has the much rarer pin hole design, 1.9in. (4.8cm.) long. * Condition: Hallmarks a little rubbed but legible, slight crease by hind leg, good condition.
A rare Victorian novelty silver toast rack, Atkin Bros., Sheffield 1880, bearing six full sets of hallmarks, a further eight Sterling hallmarks to the nuts beneath and retailer engraving 'Thornhill & Co. of Bond Street', the sloping four division graduated rack spelling the word 'TOAST', the letter 'A' being the high point, standing on four ball feet, impressed with Rd. number '88793' confirming the date to 1880, 4¼in. (11cm) high, weight 6.9 tr.oz. * Condition: Hallmarks are extremely well struck, excellent condition overall with no faults.
A very rare pair of silver Edwardian novelty pepper pots, Adie & Lovekin Ltd., Birmingham 1909, in the form of dancing/performing bears, the bears hallmarked on the neck and partially hallmarked on the heads, 1¾in. (4.5cm.) long, overall weight 0.8 tr.oz. (2) * Condition: Very clear hallmarks, one bear has a very slight bruise on back, very good condition overall.
An exceptionally rare silver novelty vesta case modelled as a fish, hallmark/import marks London 1908, with the sponsor's mark being that of Edwin Thompson Bryant, superbly modelled and detailed with realistic features, red glass eyes and hanging loop, 3½in. (8.9cm.) long, weight 1.0 tr.oz. * Condition: Nice crisp hallmarks on head and body +930 on tail, glass eyes in very good condition, round indent on tail - possibly deliberate from the making?
An extremely rare silver vesta case in the form of a Japanese Noh mask, this particular type of Noh mask appears to belong to the Kishin category, hallmarked Birmingham 1887 by Lawrence Emanuel, also with No. 7 registration No. 'RD 78317', very unusual decoration to back of an Aesthetic Movement style Oriental scene, depicting two graceful birds in flight around a bamboo cane, 2in. (5cm.) long, weight 0.57 tr.oz. * Condition: Very clear hallmarks to back of vesta case, rubbed marks to the very top of forehead, very slightly misshapen to the forehead, two very small flea bite dents one to the tip of nose, one just above left eyebrow. Very good condition overall.
A rare novelty silver vesta case in the form of a leg of a footballer cut of at the knee, late 19th century, very fine detail, with a pad attached to the shin and a ball at the toe, Patent mark to one side, 'C.&.M' on the other (for Cashmore & Mole who patented the design), 2¼in. (5.5cm.) long, weight 0.5 tr.oz. * Condition: In excellent condition, although no hallmarks found the vesta has been tested as silver.
A very rare 19th century American novelty silver drinking flask, by Gorham, marked 'Sterling B 7463', dating it to c.1869, the unusual ½ pint hidden drinking flask disguised as a curved cigar case, opened by twisting one of the corners to reveal pouring spout & cork stopper, cartouche initialled B.F.A, 5¾in. (14.6cm.) high, weight 7.3 tr.oz. * Condition: Multiple small dings and flea bite nibbles throughout. Good condition overall.

The foot with four tiny chips to the edge and a couple of other tiny frits.

Exceptionally rare Nick Drake items. Three 12”x12” black and white promotional “slicks” (photos) and three record sleeves (no records) for an unissued version of the “Fruit Tree” box set. The numbers on the sleeves (ND 1001, ND 1002 and ND 1003) are different to those on the officially released versions. It is understood that all of these items were intended for a version of “Fruit Tree” which was cancelled at the time.
Maria Callas. This is an extremely rare special 1964 “Red Nipper” edition of “The Callas Carmen”. A luxury padded 3xLP box set with three booklets; HMV Angel Series SDAN 143-5. The vinyl appears to be in excellent condition and is possibly unplayed. The box and booklets are in excellent condition.
