Original vintage Soviet movie poster for a film Triumph Over Violence. Rare version before text was added to the poster, the language of the text would depend on which country was showing the film. This poster was printed in the USSR and distributed for export of the film to foreigh countries. Triumph Over Violence (Russian: Obyknovennyy fashizm, ???????????? ?????? — ?Common fascism?) is a 1965 Soviet film directed by Mikhail Romm. The film is also known as Echo of the Jackboot in the United Kingdom and Triumph Over Violence in the United States. It is mainly in the form of annotated excerpts of archival film in order to describe the rise and fall of fascism, and especially the example of Nazi Germany. This documentary film is about the German society, Nazi Germany government and Holocaust during World War II. The poster featuring a striking design showing a spider web made of barbed wire with the figure of Hitler repeated in its centre making the Nazi salute before breaking into pieces. The image is set against a black background with the signature of the artist displayed at the bottom. Directed by Mikhail Romm, Written by Yuri Khanyutin, Mikhail Romm, Maya Turovskaya, Starring Mikhail Romm, Music by Alemdar Karamanov, Cinematography German Lavrov. Disciple of film by Eisenstein, Vertov and Pudovkin, Romm, in this film masterfully uses the means of expression editing, musical design, and journalistic language to describe the Nazi regime.
