One-piece enamelled badge in the shape of a rhombus, a smooth gilded reverse with a mounting post in the middle, an aluminum cap with an embossed inscription: the State Mint. The badge is signed on the reverse with the letter "O". This badge has never been officially approved and most of the mintage was destroyed, it is rare on the collector's market. Phaleristic object. Dimensions - 48mm x 28 mm.

One-piece badge, enameled in the form of a shield with an applied symbol in the form of a rifle sight directed at a flying plane, above it there is an inscription: Exemplary Deck Gunner. There are two golden ears of corn on both sides of the shield, all mounted on a gear wheel. The condition of the badge can be seen in the photos, it is a unique item from the Specialist badge series, very rare on the collector's market. The reverse of the badge is smooth, with a mounting post visible in the middle, and an aluminum cap from the State Mint.

Badge of the 5th Borderland Heavy Machine Gun Battalion. The unit was part of the 5th Kresowa Infantry Division, 2nd Polish Corps of General Anders. Two-part badge, in the shape of a Monte Cassino cross, with a wreath of laurel leaves placed on the cross. In the center of the wreath there are three stylized rifle cartridges tied with a sash with the initials (CKM). Below, at the bottom of the wreath, the number 5 is inscribed. The wreath is counter-stamped. The reverse is smooth, with a mounting post in the center (repaired), the badge number (41) on the right arm of the cross. Condition as shown in the photos, a rare original badge. Dimensions; 42mm x 42mm.42.5mm x 42.5mm

A rare silver patriotic bracelet of the Polish Armed Forces in the West, made around 1943 in India in Kolhapur as a souvenir of the Polish Refugees from the USSR who stayed in the years 1943-47, many of these refugees joined the ranks of General Anders' 2nd Polish Corps. A rare item in fantastic condition. A bracelet in the form of a chain with three large links, the first one depicting a lion and a palm tree and the inscription "INDIA", the second one the Polish emblem model 1927 with a crown, the third one the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Kolhapur and the inscription "1943 Kolhapur". Very good condition as in the photos.

Special ordered in black (standard Gazelles featured a two-tone paintjob and rarely in black) designed to be easily distinguishable from other Bermudian traffic as well as specificed with a rare column shift automatic gearbox due to the country's towns having a 15mph speed limit. Of the 115 ordered cars, some were not exported to Bermuda and instead remained in the UK to be sold to the public. It is believed this is one of 3 that remained on UK soil although we have been unable to find records of the other 2 cars.Sought after with its Borg-Warner automatic gearbox also fitted to the Rover p5 and P6, the Daimler V8 saloon, Jaguar's XJ6 and many other high end cars. Sold and first UK registered by Clarke Brothers of Kings Lynn on July 1964, sold with a large history file including original service records from Clarke brothers from 1964 through to 1973 as well as written anecdotes and stories of the cars history from previous keepers, MOT certficates dating back to the early 90s and other maintenance records. The owner advises he believes the car to be very original including retaining most of its original paint. Edwards, contemporary ink ownership inscriptions to front endpaper, occasional light water-staining to lower outer corner, some light spotting or toning, contemporary calf, spine with red morocco label, some skilful repairs to corners, spine ends and joints, rubbed, [Rothschild 2571], 4to, for T. Davies, 1766.⁂ Anna Williams (1706-1783) blind Welsh poet and close companion of Samuel Johnson. Johnson contributed the introductory 'Advertisement' to this work and at least nine of the pieces included, in whole or greater part, and revised others. Rare in commerce, the last copy appearing at auction in 2009 (Bloomsbury).

Historical Accounting Literature p.4 for Cologne, 1662 edition], folio, Venice, For the Company, 1669.⁂ The rare greatly enlarged edition of this work on transactions of credit.

A Catalogue of the...library... of that distinguished naturalist and lover of the Fine Arts, the late John Strange, Esq., ink marking of some lots (?lots to be viewed), some foxing, lightly browned, contemporary half calf, gilt ducal monogram to head of spine, spine worn, joints split, but holding, rubbed, 8vo, Leigh, Sotheby & Son, 1801.⁂ Rare in commerce. Strange (1732-1799) was an English diplomat who was elected a Fellow of both the Society of Antiquaries and Royal Society for his contributions to Archaeology and Geology (books on Mineralogy and mineral baths are to be found in the catalogue). He spent a large amount of his professional and private life in Italy, publishing his scholarly findings in Archæologia and The Philosophical Transactions. While there he formed collections of related books, manuscripts, antiquities, and art, which are found in the present catalogue. The evolutionary embryologist Sir Gavin Rylands de Beer in a 1951 article notes 'how important and accurate, and how far in advance of their time, were his contributions to Geology...'.

Franco studied medicine at Coimbra, and in 1787 became under-secretary of the Academy of Sciences. He was conversant with the social and political ideas of Locke and Rousseau, and his enthusiasm for the Encyclopédistes led to house arrest by the Inquisition.
