POLIDORI (John W.; 1795-1821, physician and writer) Side portrait in pencil of Edmund Finch (1789-1831), head and shoulders, signed with initials, and annotated to the reverse dated 1818, 12 x 10cm Note: A rare drawing by Byron's physician and the author of 'The Vampyre'. After returning to England, Polidori set himself up in a medical practice in Norwich in 1817. This may be a portrait of the brewer Edmund Rolfe Finch, sometime president of the Norfolk and Norwich Literary Institution.

Morganite Solitaire Drop Earrings, octagon cut solitaires, totalling 1ct, of the rare, clear, peachy pink morganite, named after the late 19th/early 20thC banker, J.P.Morgan who financed gem hunting trips by the head gemologist of Tiffany, New York, George Frederick Kunz, who found the stone at the beginning of the 20thC; here, set in 14ct gold vermeil and silver lever back fittings, good quality morganite of this clarity is still rare
