1978 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II Transmission: automaticMileage:58000Whilst the Yichang Factory in China assembles a car every 46 seconds, over here we take our time. And it shows. For every Silver Shadow that Rolls-Royce produced in Crew during the 1970s and 80s, the highly focused and specialised workforce spent 12 weeks putting each one together. From the advanced fully-independent and self-levelling suspension to the all-aluminium 6.75 litre, V8 engine with its power-output tactfully described as "adequate". As modern as the engineering was beneath the skin, every owner was still afforded the last word in luxury and refinement with Connolly leather and burr walnut, a symphony of the most elegant of automotive interiors. This ULEZ-exempt example is presented in the rare-optioned metallic Silver Sand with a beige interior piped in dark brown with Cumberland Stone carpets, lambswool over-rugs and footrests. The Cumberland Stone carpets also continue into the boot, a feature rarely seen, compared to standard black. Also included is a dark brown dash-top with beige knee-roll and radio surround. This Silver Shadow II also boasts the Harvey Bailey handling package, passenger door mirror controllable from the inside and lightly tinted Sundym glass all round in fact, the interior of this car is hard to fault especially when combined with ice-cold (updated system to R134A) air conditioning.Originally delivered to Lex Mead Rolls-Royce in Bristol, it was then immediately transferred to Jack Barclay in London whereupon it was sold to the first owner. A comprehensive service history, initially from Jack Barclay then Haines & Hall followed by specialists can be found within a stamped service book in the original owner's pack alongside all receipts, MoT's test certificates and a documented summary of all service work. Another recent addition includes new hydraulic brakes and suspension pipes, four new and correct Avon Turbospeed tyres, a jack and toolkit in the boot and both original ignition keys. Serviced less than 200 miles ago, it will nonetheless receive another light service prior to delivery as well and a full MoT test certificate. The Financial Times Weekend supplement recently tipped the Silver Shadow as one of the best investments you can make currently. Historics would not disagree with that august publication in this instance.

1998 Bentley Azure Widebody Symbolic Edition Transmission: automaticMileage:35000The Bentley Azure was launched in 1995 and was based on the platform of the Continental R which had been launched in 1991. The Azure intended to both convey a sense of presence and allow for comfortable seating of four adult passengers. Power came from the company's stalwart 6.75 litre, V8 featuring a single intercooled turbocharger. The gearbox was a General Motors sourced four-speed automatic unit with the Azure capable of 0-60mph in an impressive 6.1 seconds. Owing to the limited space at Bentley's Crewe factory, the Azure was designed and manufactured by Pininfarina, significantly adding to the vehicle's production cost. This unique and desirable Azure Symbolic Edition is finished in a special-order Mendip Blue (an Aston Martin colour) in deviation from the black that the other six cars were finished in with magnolia leather hide interior. A Mulliner commissioned example; this car had a number of non-standard features spanning two pages on the supplied specification details report. Sitting on 18" chrome wheels, this example also boasts the T-style console, Burr walnut veneers, the removal of side repeater flashers, flared arches, Bentley wings in the door waist rails and an uprated 420bhp engine boasting 875nm of torque to mention but a few of the non-standard features from new. The car was originally supplied to Bentley San Diego on 1st May 1998 and imported to the UK in 2018 from Florida with 13,000 miles on the odometer, where the seller informed us it had just had a $10,000 overhaul including the replacement of the hood hydraulic lines unfortunately, we do not have invoices for this within the history file. Since its arrival in the UK, the car has been cared for by Bowling-Ryan Ltd, Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialists in Bolton with the most and recent service in August 2022 coupled to previous services in 2018 and 2020. Supplied with handbooks, an MoT test certificate with no advisories and valid until April 2024, the Azure is not only one of the best cars to cruise the French Riviera but it is uniquely specified and rare which increases its potential for strong collectable values in the future.

1978 Matra Simca Bagheera XTransmission: manualMileage:60120The Matra Bagheera was built by the automotive division of the French engineering group Matra in co-operation with Simca. Marketed as the Matra-Simca Bagheera until its final year of production, when its designation was changed to the Talbot-Matra Bagheera following Chrysler Europe's demise and subsequent takeover by PSA. Chrysler-Simca's planners also wanted a car with more than just two seats. Guédon agreed, but he was also not satisfied with the 2+2 arrangement used in the M530, feeling that the rear seats were too small to be really useful. The solution came to him on a lengthy trip he took in a Ford Taunus station wagon with two colleagues. The back of the car was so full that the travellers sat three across in the front of the car. The Bagheera was unveiled to the press at an event held at Lake Annecy on April 14th 1973. The public release of the car took place at the 1973 24 Heures du Mans. At the same time Simca had arranged to have 500 yellow Bagheeras available at their dealers across France. Towards the end of 1973, production levels had reached 65 cars per day.First registered on 3rd December 1982, this original and rare right hand drive conversion, carried out by Walchry Motors of Walton-on-Thames (official Peugeot Talbot dealers), is one of only 57 cars that were built by Walchry, and this example is believed to be one of only four remaining. Subject to a complete restoration and rebuild from 2014-2020, the car was completely stripped, the chassis fully plated, welded and coated. The composite bodywork has been repainted to a very high standard and mechanical components have been restored or replaced as necessary. The interior has been retrimmed to an equally high standard in black leather, with a black suede headlining. This has left the structure of the car as better than new and fully protected against the elements with full chassis rust proofing. The restoration has been finished off with bespoke Minilite-style alloy wheels. The history file boasts detailed photos of the restoration and upon purchase an extensive spares package is also available including the original alloy wheels and many body panels with collection near London. the odometer is in kms reading 98,363 which equates to just 60,120 miles. The standard electric windows have been enhanced with the addition of remote central locking and immobiliser. The engine has been upgraded to a more modern and reliable Peugeot EW12 2.2 unit, effectively a modern version of the 2.2 engine fitted to the Bagheera's successor, the Murena. Whilst in need of some mechanical fettling to the running and gear change to finish, the car now has a modern level of performance to suit the considerable style offered by this rare and beautiful three-seater. Registered as historic with the DVLA, so MoT and tax exempt, this three-seater is rarer than the Mclaren F1 so very collectable, rare and certainly a conversation starter.Guide Price £12,000-£17,000Spares parts available as follows which can be collected from London post sale;Front and rear bumpersBoth doorsRear glass, both sides,Rear light lensesUndertraysFuel tankRare original wheelsOriginal steering wheelVarious other bits, mostly exterior items

1991 Volkswagen Golf GTi Mk. II Transmission: manualMileage:124497Understood to be a UK-ordered but left hand drive example, purchased from Dovercourt Volkswagen in London, it has a rare specification in that it is a five-door car with a full leather interior, plus air conditioning, electric windows and mirrors, ABS brakes, and with no sunroof. This example has more recently been fitted with a full stainless steel Miltek exhaust, Koni coilover suspension, 16" steel wheels and an Alpine stereo. Accompanying the vehicle is a specification sheet, which is also transcribed below. The brilliant black paintwork is in good condition overall, with only minor blemishes and the interior and black leather is good, showing modest wear for its age and mileage. The vendor notes that the air conditioning needs re-gassing and the central locking system is faulty but otherwise there are no known faults. Recently treated to a fresh MoT test certificate, this GTi is offered with a history file including various booklets, the service book featuring many stamps, previous MoT test certificates, and a handful of receipts for parts from Volkswagen specialist, The Phirm and The Heritage Parts Centre covering the last few years. 1929 MG PA to Q-Type Specification Transmission: manualMileage:2755The MG Q-Type is a racing car produced by MG in 1934. The chassis was based on the one used on the MG K3 but was narrower and used N-Type axles. The engine used the cylinder block from the P-Type but with a special crankshaft to bring the capacity down to 746cc by reducing the stroke. A high-pressure Zoller supercharger was fitted giving a boost to 2.5 atmospheres and allowing the engine to produce 113bhp at 7200rpm. A sprint version was also made with output increased to 146bhp which at nearly 200bhp per litre this figure was higher than any other racing engine in the world at that time and equated to over 200bhp per 1,000cc! To add stability at the inevitable high speeds, it was decided to increase the wheelbase and track on the basis that the extra power would more than compensate for the additional weight. The wheelbase was made the same as on the K3, and N-Type axles of 3' 9 track, with special 12 brake drums, were used.Regarded as the ultimate traditional overhead cam-engined MG Midget, it is thought only eight were made (Michael Sedgwick states nine) as the car was expensive at £550"“£650, and the rigid-axle chassis had difficulty in dealing with the power of the engine. In general layout the car followed the 1934 MG K3 very closely and inside elevation it is not easy to tell the two models apart. All eight Q-Types were originally fitted with very attractive open two-seat sports racing coachwork with a sloping, pointed tail and outside exhaust. The final track testing of the Q-Type was undertaken by Bill Everitt and on Whit Monday, 1934, he broke the Class H Brooklands Mountain lap record at 69.97mph, first time out. He then competed at a Donington Park race meeting, achieving a first place and two seconds. At Brooklands on August 1st, he broke the Standing Kilometer and Standing Mile records at 69.75 and 79.88mph respectively - this was a direct measure of the improvement of the Q-Type since these records were taken from E.R. Hall who had set them the previous year in an MG J4. In October 1934, Everitt raised the Mountain Lap record to 75.58mph in the Q-Type and the Standing Kilometer and Mile records to the remarkable figures of 75.42 and 85.59mph.The Q-Type bodied MG PA on offer today is presented in French Racing Blue and we ascertain from the large history file it was subject to a full photographic restoration in 2007. In stunning order and boasting the Volumex supercharger, during our vendors tenure the car has undergone significant expenditure to create what is a fabulous recreation of the Q-Type racer showing a body work akin to the days racing at Brooklands. This included the blower, the bespoke external handbrake, quick fill fuel caps , turned metal dash with dual chronograph clocks, Brooklands aero screens, aluminium foot plates and aluminium and rubber mats in the footwell. The bonnet straps and coachwork are as new likewise the trim sitting on wire wheels with bespoke tonneau and a fabulous fantail exhaust.Eligible we would believe for hill climbs and sprints, this would be a great drivers car and certainly one of the best looking examples in the paddock. Our vendor has moved abroad so can no longer enjoy thus viewing is strongly advised for a car that will be finding a new home. This is an exceedingly rare opportunity to purchase a stunning homage to one of the eight Q-Types and in fine condition. It is an extremely exciting road car as well as a competitive pre-war racing car.

1981 Land Rover Series III 109 Transmission: manualMileage:301Land Rovers were inspired by the US-built Willys Jeep immediately after the war. By 1992, Land Rover claimed that 70% of all the vehicles they had ever built were still in use. Before the war, Rover had produced luxury cars which then ceased to be in demand in the post-war period. Raw materials were also strictly rationed to companies building construction or industrial equipment. Rover's original factory in Coventry had also been bombed, forcing the company to move into a huge factory it had built in Solihull to construct aircraft. The Series III is the most common vehicle with 440,000 built. The headlights were moved to the wings and the traditional metal grille featured on its predecessor, was replaced with a plastic one. The production run for the Series III was from 1971 through to 1985, and during this cycle in 1976, the 1,000,000th Land Rover rolled off the production line. The Series III saw many changes in the later part of its life as Land Rover updated the design to meet increased competition. This Land Rover was originally registered on 25th February 1981 and has been totally and beautifully restored by the knowledgeable and fastidious vendor. The body was removed from the chassis and a new galvanised chassis fitted. The bodywork itself was repaired where necessary and repainted in the traditional colour combination of Sherwood Green with black. The engine was stripped down and rebuilt as was the gearbox. Wolf wheels have been fitted and the interior trim taken care of accordingly. This 109 inch Land Rover has four inward facing seats to the rear and a suitable 'rag-top' for inclement weather. Series III Land Rovers are exceptionally robust and offer the ultimate 4x4 off road experience. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with a current MoT test certificate valid until 11th June 2024 and a collection of invoices in the history folder. This model was only in production for three years and to find one in such fabulous condition is a rare treat indeed.

1995 Ford Escort RS Cosworth Transmission: manualMileage:21752The Ford Escort RS Cosworth was released in 1992 just as the Sierra Sapphire 4x4 Cosworth production was ending. The radical styling that included flared arches and the unmissable whale tail rear spoiler, displayed only a small part of the potential however, that potential was fulfilled by the fitment of the Ford power unit that lay under the bonnet boosted by a turbo charger. Production commenced in February 1992 with the first 2,500 being homologation specials. The Cosworth was entered into the World Rally Championship the following year, enjoying outstanding success in the hands of works drivers François Delecour and Miki Biasion. Although the RS Cosworth resembled the Escort road car, it was in fact based on a shortened Sierra 4x4 floor pan and used the latter's running gear. This meant that, unlike the mainstream Mk. V Escort, the RS Cosworth mounted its engine fore-and-aft rather than transversely, it also used the Sierra 4x4's five-speed manual transmission which featured permanent four-wheel drive that split the power 34/66 front/rear. In road trim, the RS Cosworth produced 227bhp and with that horsepower in a nimble, compact car, performance was outstanding. The end came too early for many enthusiasts with production ceasing in January 1996. Only 7,145 cars were produced over a four-year period. This example is presented in Ash Black with one of the rarest interior trims, red hex Recaro. The overall condition of the car is excellent, our vendor purchased the car from a local gentleman who owned it alongside a daily driven 200,000 mile Sierra Cosworth, the Escort Cosworth was the one he chose to keep tucked away with the mileage kept to a minimum. The odometer failed in 2012 at 25,184 miles, a replacement was fitted showing 17,666 miles, meaning the true mileage of the car is now just 29,270 miles. The car remains in almost completely unmodified form, the only change being a stainless steel exhaust, which provides a very subtle note and is by no means too 'shouty'. The cambelt was replaced in 2021 and a service was carried out at the same time, only around 500 miles have been covered since. The MoT test certificate is valid until March 2024, two advisories were noted which were,  some slight corrosion on underside components and a perished CV boot -  both have since been attended to.The Escort Cosworth has one of the most legendary silhouettes of all time with its instantly recognisable whale tail rear spoiler. They were a rare sight on the roads when new, further amplified now more than 30 years after the cars initial release, only 241 cars are now registered on UK roads. This is a particularly well-kept example in a desirable colour combination and boasting less than 30,000 miles from new and has proven to be one of the most desirable fast Ford's in recent years.

1967 Volkswagen Kombi T2 Transmission: manualMileage:The 1967 Volkswagen Kombi T2, an iconic member of the Volkswagen Type 2 family, is an enduring symbol of the 1960s counterculture and a beloved classic in the world of automotive history. With its distinctive boxy design and split windshield, the Kombi T2 became synonymous with freedom, adventure, and the hippie movement. Its versatile interior could be configured for various purposes, from transporting passengers to serving as a makeshift camper. The rear-mounted air-cooled engine was reliable and easy to maintain. Whether used for road trips, camping, or simply as a people carrier, the Kombi T2 continues to evoke nostalgia and admiration among enthusiasts worldwide. This stunning 1967 Volkswagen presents well in green and white coachwork which is complemented by a green interior. Imported from Australasia, this rare Volkswagen has benefitted from a comprehensive photographic restoration. Receipts for the work are present, as is a V5C registration document and a file containing various bills, receipts and previous MoT test certificates. The quality of this Volkswagen needs to be viewed to be fully appreciated.

2003 Bentley Azure Performance Final Series Transmission: automaticMileage:15400The Bentley Azure was launched in 1995 and was based on the platform of the Continental R which had been launched in 1991. One of the rarest of Azure developments was the 'Final Series Performance' version, only 62 examples of which were completed towards the end of production during 2002/2003. The 'FSP' was based on the Bentley Azure Mulliner, which came with an engine up-rated to produce 420bhp, suitably stiffened suspension, and various other improvements. This series was commissioned as a tribute to the cars that had marked Bentley's release from Rolls-Royce's benefaction. This Bentley Azure Performance final series is one of 62 ever produced and one of just 15 cars in right hand drive. We are led to believe the car was previously owned by Mr. Duncan, the owner/founder of the 'Henry the hoover' one of which can be found in almost every office in the UK, who owned and cherished this very special Bentley for a decade with the car wore the number plate 'H5NRY' from 2016. Presented in Peacock Blue with a cream quilted leather and French navy blue secondary leather interior and blue roof. This is a lovely low mileage car showing just 15,400 miles since its date of first registration on 27th March 2003. Offered with 17 Main dealer services at HR Owen, the car has within the last 700 miles had over £10,000 lavished on it with service and preparation for sale.General characteristics on the final edition included Bentley-branded brake calipers, a turbo boost gauge on the facia (T series layout), chromed bezels a large red starter button, diamond quilted sports seats and door inserts, a choice of dark stained walnut or black lacquer furnishings and winged Bentley motifs on the waist rails. This is an iconic and rare final series, beautifully presented and very collectable example and viewing is highly recommended.

1966 Jaguar E-Type Series I Roadster (4.2 litre) Transmission: manualMileage:23859The Jaguar E-Type was manufactured between 1961 and 1975 and its combination of good looks, high performance and competitive pricing established the marque as an icon of 1960's motoring.  A great success for Jaguar, more than 70,000 E-Types were sold during its lifespan. The Series I was introduced, initially for export only, in March 1961 with the domestic market launch coming four months later in July 1961. The cars at this time used the triple SU carburetted, 3.8 litre six-cylinder XK engine from the XK150's. The first 300 cars built had flat floors and external bonnet latches and are considered rare and more valuable. After that, the floors were dished to provide more leg room and the twin hood latches moved to inside the car with the 3.8 litre engine increased to 4.2 litres in October 1964.This left hand drive E-Type 4.2 Series I roadster was imported from the US in 2013, where the owner used the car as his daily driver and took care of everything mechanically. The engine started on the button during our visit to the vendor here in the UK and sounded excellent. However, this E-Type would benefit from some investment to the coachwork as, although the body appears to have little or no corrosion, the paintwork does require some attention. The other option is to leave the exterior as it is and adopt the 'rat' look which is fashionable these days. Supplied with a V5C registration document, this Jaguar E-type roadster could well prove to be an interesting project.

2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI 'Tommi Makinen' Edition Transmission: manualMileage:83470By mid-1996, Mitsubishi's rallying success began to really reflect in Lancer Evolution sales. The 1996 World Rally Championship season brought Mitsubishi, a new driver, the blisteringly quick Finn named Tommi Makinen, and its first World Rally Championship drivers' title. By 1997, rallying had captured the imagination of people all over the world and Mitsubishi sold 6,000 Evolution IVs in the first three days of its launch! In the latter-half of 1999, Mitsubishi unleashed a special edition to celebrate its favourite drivers four consecutive WRC drivers' titles from 1996-1999, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI 'Tommi Makinen Edition' (TME). The Evolution VI was already a technological tour de force, but the TME had a more responsive titanium turbocharger, uprated and lowered suspension, quicker steering, a different exhaust, a new ECU, beefed-up transfer case internals, a redesigned front bumper for even better cooling and authentic 17" WRC Enkei alloy wheels. Plus, there was a special interior, featuring embossed Recaro seats, a Momo steering wheel with red stitching. The performance upgrades saw the 0-60mph sprint obliterated in 4.4 seconds and a maximum top speed of 150 mph. Power was rumoured to be over 300bhp, rather than the 276bhp stated. This lovely, UK supplied, right hand drive, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI 'Tommi Makinen' Edition, numbered 029, was first registered in April 2001 and has been serviced and maintained since with a fully stamped service book. In 2014, at about 70,000 miles the engine was removed and completely rebuilt, uprated and balanced using a number of racing components including C-Tec tubular exhaust manifold, a Precision 6262 Generation 2 Turbo charger and a new remapped ECU, all at a cost of over £10,000. It was then Dyno'd on a rolling road giving a reading of 570bhp. Finished with silver paintwork and having the correct original black and red chequered Recaro seats, the car is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in August 2024, the handbook pack containing the fully stamped service book and a file with invoices, old MoT test certificates, which include details and invoices relating to the engine rebuild including the Dyno results. These rare, highly collectable, rally homologation icons continue to generate serious interest with the younger collector.

1999 Maserati Quattroporte IV Evoluzione (3.2 litre) Transmission: manualMileage:23342Maserati launched its first Quattroporte back in 1963 and has continued to make a version of this luxury four-door sports saloon ever since. The fourth-generation model came out in 1994 and was the first Maserati to be produced under new owners Fiat, who had bought this illustrious Italian marque from Alejandro de Tomaso in 1993. An evolution of the Biturbo platform, the Quattroporte IV was styled by Marcello Gandini (of Lamborghini Miura and Countach fame) and featured his signature slashed rear wheel arch design which had first been seen on the Countach and later on the Maserati Shamal. Initially powered by the 280bhp twin-turbo 24-valve 2.8 V6 from the Ghibli, the Quattroporte IV got the flagship Shamal engine in 1996, a 336bhp twin-turbo 3.2 V8 which gave it blistering performance, 0-60 in 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 168mph. A Getrag six-speed manual gearbox came as standard, but a more town-friendly ZF four-speed automatic was also available as an option. This excellent, rare right hand drive, 1999 Maserati Quattroporte IV has only covered 23,400 miles from new which is supported by comprehensive service history. Supplied new by Meridien Maserati in the New Forest, Hampshire to Mr. J Peters of St. Peters Port, Guernsey. In his ownership the car was looked after by Meridien Modena and Doyle Motors Guernsey. In 2015, the car was sold to Dr. D Mitchell and imported into the UK, for the three years that he kept the car it was maintained by Autoshield Maserati, Manchester. The next change of keeper came in 2017/18 when passed to Mr. P Winfield whose preferred repairer was McGrath Maserati. The last recorded service with the cambelts changed was with Autoshield at 23,176 miles in November 2021, this was done for the current owner who purchased the car in June 2021. Since that service the car has covered less than 200 miles. Finished in Netuno Blue metallic with Ivory leather interior, this excellent Maserati Quattroporte IV is supplied with an MoT test certificate which expires in August 2024, the handbook pack which contains the service record book and a file containing invoices from 2015 to the last service. The Quattroporte IV Evoluzione is regarded as the best Quattroporte produced as this was after Maserati was taken over by Ferrari.

1998 Honda Integra Type R Transmission: manualMileage:65000In 1993 the Integra was launched as a 'fairly vanilla' coupé and in 1995 Honda introduced the world to the B18C Vtec engine and the Integra Type R (R for racing) was born. Not only did the car feature a red line just shy of 9000rpm and over 100bhp per litre, but every element of the cars performance was looked at. Anything unnecessary was removed, so out went air conditioning, sound deadening and even thinner glass and carpets were added to save weight, while elements to improve the performance were added. With a seam welded chassis, strengthened suspension mounting points, bespoke suspension and Recaro SR seats. The car received a modest front spoiler, rear wing and light weight alloy wheels and a titanium gear knob. It was three years later that the Type R made its way to UK shores with only 500 cars allocated and a slightly different frontend with round rather than square head lights. The driving experience of a Honda Integra Type R is ranked as one of the best of any vehicle.  When the car ventures beyond 6000rpm the Vtec opens up and the modest four-cylinder engine changes with a soundtrack ranking along with cars with much higher cylinder counts. The gear change is positive, rifle bolt fast and with a 50/50 balanced chassis the feedback and grip are astonishing especially when you consider the car runs on 15"195 width tyres. The below quote from Richard Meaden from Evo issue 95 sums it up 'It's a car as sweet and all-consuming as any I've experienced at any price, and as pure and focused in its own way as any Porsche RS. Forget the accolade of greatest front-wheel drive car. The Integra Type R ranks as one of the truly great drivers' cars of any kind'.This is a very rare opportunity to purchase a piece of modern motoring history that is also fit to be driven as intended. This UK registered Championship White Honda Integra Type R DC2 was purchased on 8th August 1998 by a retired Honda enthusiast, who owned it until our vendor purchased in October 2021. He informs us the car was tremendous but there was plenty to do to make it better, the clutch was replaced not long after at a reputable local garage who he instructed to do further work such as replacing bushes, engine mounts, deep cleaning then undersealing a geo setup and more. Recently the car has benefited from a full (expensive) service and inspection at a Honda dealer that included OE brake discs and pads, new calipers all round, in-tank fuel filter and platinum spark plugs. Professionally detailed, polished and ceramic coated within the last year and it looks stunning. No detail has been left unturned, even a $100 plus invoice for the unobtainium brand new OE UKDM front badge from Arizona was sourced. All parts have been replaced with Honda OE where available or the best match if not. The only modification is a fantastic Fujitsubo straight through exhaust setup with RM-01A exhaust and SuperEx manifold (JASMA approved, which means it's not stupidly loud or offensive and meets stringent Japanese standards). When the VTEC kicks in there is now a noticeable pop with this setup. It has been kept in a Hamilton Classic's 'Cair-o-Port' tent inside a garage to stave off corrosion. Importantly, this example has not been left standing for ages, both current and previous owner have driven it very few miles, but its wheels have been kept turning each year. The car has an MoT test certificate valid until September 2024 and is ready to drive away in fantastic condition. All paperwork and invoices are available alongside the original invoice with dealer-fitted CD changer and A/C is present, along with the unopened red key.Recently only run on E5 fuel and more recently switched from Shell V-Power to Esso 99 as the Esso fuel has 0% ethanol. Overall, the condition is superb inside and out. Even the OE stereo head unit and six CD changer works as it should. There cannot be many chances left to buy a car like this, the sublime gearshift and free revving nature of the engine is something a modern, forced induction car will never be able to emulate.

1992 Porsche 928 GTS A Transmission: automaticMileage:4400When Porsche launched the 928 GTS in 1992, they knew it would be the last evolution of 928. Porsche did much to enhance performance and refinement, knowing that its luxury flagship would leave memories with Porsche enthusiasts. For the GTS, Porsche increased the engine capacity to 5397cc and added a catalytic convertor, with eight balance weights instead of six to enhance smoothness. This DOHC engine produced 350bhp and enabled a top speed of more than 170mph. The GTS engine was smoother and more flexible than its predecessor and was quieter and easier to drive. Changes to the chassis included a wider rear track and larger brakes. Externally, the GTS differed from S4 with its new style of alloy wheels, flared rear arches and a body-coloured rear spoiler. What Porsche wasn't advertising when the 928 was released was the price; it was among the most expensive cars on the road at the time. This severely hampered sales despite the model's high competency and long standard equipment list. Porsche discontinued the GTS model that year after shipping only 2,904 in total which in 1994 was a problem; in 2022 however, it has resulted in a rare and incredibly desirable Porsche. This Midnight Blue metallic Porsche 928 GTS has a mere 4,400 miles on its odometer and has spent much of its life as part of the Sultan of Brunei's car collection. With a close connection to the Sultan of Brunei's family, the car was acquired in 2017. It has recently been subject to a significant £20,000 no expense spared recommissioning over an 18-month period finishing in August of this year by Porsche Specialists RGA which included all electrics before the engine received full cambelt replacement and a full service and MoT test certificate, all resulting in the car we have offered today. We understand when under Brunei ownership, the front wings and bonnet were resprayed due to sun damage but since then the car has had the restoration process to bring it to a fine standard today. The interior is in lovely condition, as you might expect from a car with so few miles indeed time-warp condition. The GTS has been the collectors' choice of the 928 range and continues to appreciate dramatically with a well-known film car selling in excess of $2 million in 2021, subsequently this example is estimated at an incredible price point. Offered with full detailed invoices for the work completed by Porsche Specialists RGA and Photographic proof of works carried out during the recommissioning coupled to a recent MoT test certificate until September 2024, this UK registered example is ready to find a new home with a discerning car collector, or Porsche enthusiast especially with the incredible mileage and HJH Royal ownership.

2009 Ferrari 430 Scuderia Transmission: automaticMileage:38937In 2008, Ferrari put into production their new lightweight 430, evocatively named the Scuderia. Replacing the 360 Challenge Stradale was always going to be a tough proposition, but with 510bhp, a new lightning-fast gear change, and an exhaust note which sounded pure F1, the Scuderia managed to be quicker, yet a lot less demanding to drive than the CS.This wonderful example presented in Rosso Corsa coachwork over a black interior looks superb and is the desirable and rare Scuderia example. As a left hand drive example, this Ferrari was first registered in the UK on 1st July 2015 having previously been registered overseas. The paintwork is in very good order and retains a deep shine and the interior is very good order. Offered with its original book pack and service booklet with several stamps, as well as the relevant invoices, previous MoT test certificates, the current V5C registration document and a new MoT test certificate valid until September 2024. Showing circa 38,937kms on the odometer, this example looks fantastic, and we are informed it drives very well indeed. Offered with a very attractive estimate, this is surely an opportunity not to be missed.

1995 Aston Martin DB7 Transmission: manualMileage:87699Introduced in 1993 to the public, the handsome new DB7 was Aston Martin's first six-cylinder model since production of the DBS had finished in 1971. Styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen. Arguably one of the most attractive looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two door coupé body and robust six-cylinder engine. Regarded by many as the purist modern Aston Martin, the DB7 will undoubtedly be a collectable car for years to come and is equally at home in the city or out on the open road. This lovely and extremely rare example is presented in metallic grey with a grey leather interior and contrasting dark grey piping. The car comes with electric windows, electric seats, air conditioning and a comprehensive service history with 20 stamps in the service book and the present owner has had a service carried out with an Aston specialist costing £2,200 and the car has covered a mere 200 miles since. This is the rare manual gearbox example of which only 257 were made. In superb condition throughout and with a valid MoT test certificate until July 2024, this must be one of the best of this model available today.

1936 Daimler E20 Saloon Transmission: manualMileage:80498The E20 was manufactured between 1935 and 1939. It offered the choice of a coachbuilt saloon, Sports Saloon, Fixedhead Coupé and Drophead Coupé bodies on a notably stiff box section chassis that featured integral lubrication and jacking systems. The model was powered by an OHV straight-six engine with output of 19.3hp - sufficient for a top speed of almost 70mph. This was mated to a four-speed pre-selector gearbox via Daimler's patented fluid flywheel. Suspension was by semi-elliptic springs and beam axles all round and braking by Girling servo-assisted drums. The total production of E20s was some 873, of which some 35 are known to have survived, making it a rare car today. Daimlers were the sole royal appointment cars up to 1950 and this magnificent 1936 example is very much in this tradition.Originally registered on 29th July 1936, according to the current owner, this Daimler E20 has only had two owners throughout its 80 years on the road and has covered the remarkably low mileage of 80,498. The vendor purchased the car in the early 1980's from the deceased estate of the first owner Mr Daubney, who became the chairman of the Daimler and Lanchester Owners Club. As part of a wedding hire fleet, it has been registered on the V5C registration document with a couple of other keepers but has been in his ownership since its purchase. The vendor is a very knowledgeable classic car enthusiast, and he has looked after the car exceedingly well, keeping it in a warm, heated environment. Space, comfort, luxury and visibility are offered in abundance with this vehicle. This totally original 1936 Daimler E20 is finished in regal black with midnight blue inserts and the original midnight blue leather interior, it is supplied with a V5C registration document and a MoT test certificate which expires in September 2024. This Daimler E20 offers a rare opportunity to purchase a delightful piece of British motoring history.

1970 Volvo 1800E Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:15845With truly international credentials, this modern departure from Volvo's standard fare was planned in Sweden, built both in the UK and Sweden but designed by a Swede working at Carrozzeria Frua in Italy. Given the streamlined and elegant lines that adorn this model, it was produced both as a two-door coupé and latterly as a shooting brake. Initially marketed as a P1800S, the 'S' standing for Sweden, the power output was increased in 1970 with the addition of Bosch fuel injection hence P1800E, the 'E' standing for Einspritzung, the German for fuel injection allowing for a top speed of, incredibly for the time, 118mph.Supplied in Inca yellow with a contrasting black leatherette trim, the quality here is clear to see. Maintenance has been relentless over the years with very little reference to cost. As a result, the history file is extensive with numerous invoices, old MoT test certificates, original owners handbook and detailed information including engine-rebuilds, fuel systems overhaul, much additional mechanical work with, in 2016, all sills and outriggers replaced with a CD detailing works done including paint. With only 58 P1800E models registered with the DVLA (of which 32 are declared SORN), this is a rare car, even more so in this outstanding condition and they are quickly rising in popularity as a great 70's icon. There is little wonder why this was the motorcar of choice by the most elegant of detectives, Simon Templar himself, in the long-running TV show, The Saint.

Lot 231

1990 Maserati Karif Transmission: manualMileage:39699The Karif or Tipo AM339 is a luxury coupé produced by Maserati between 1988 and 1991. Designed to mix luxury with sporty looks and agile handling, the Karif was announced with a limited production run of 255 examples. This is exactly what modern manufacturers do now and with great success, however only 221 Karif's were sold with late cars being sold long after this build date. Built on the same shortened chassis as the Zagato-bodied Maserati Spyder, they added a fixed notchback roof and used a more powerful iteration of their 'Bi-turbo engine', a 2.9 litre V6, giving around 260bhp. Reviewed in the motoring press at the time as having 'sawn off looks, shotgun performance'.This is a rather special example, we are informed it was originally built for the Managing Director of Maserati in the UK, but the company went into receivership in 1990 and the car was never delivered. The car is therefore painted in Dark Aquamarine, which is understood to be a unique colour, the other Karif's were all in either black, red or white. Our vendor has owned several Karif's, including owning this example on two separate occasions. The car presents in excellent condition, commensurate with its low mileage. The car comes with a good history detailing various works over the years, and has spent recent years in dry storage, only covering very minimal mileage during our vendors current ownership. The Maserati Karif is an extremely rare car already, but the opportunity to own one of just 25 right hand drive examples, in a unique colour is something which should not be missed.

Registration OU56 KVSChassis Number SAJAC73R97TH13622Engine Number 0606170912TGOdometer reading 95,500 milesEstimateNo ReserveJaguar's long-standing commitment to creating beautiful, contemporary, fast cars was reinforced once again with the unveiling of the special edition 400bhp XJR Portfolio. The Concept Eight was the first time that Jaguar had shown its new performance styling to the public and the reaction was so positive that many of its key design details, such as the eye-catching polished wheels, side power vents and Satin American Walnut trim, were soon to grace a special edition XJ produced for the USA and other key European and global markets. Both front and rear seats have variable heating and the driver's seat includes lumbar and cushion length power adjust with full memory function. To add to that unique performance feel, the XJR Portfolio also sports an aluminium J-gate gear lever surround and chrome and leather gear knob. The all-aluminium construction methods that Jaguar introduced with the latest generation XJ saloon in 2003 broke new ground in the volume automotive industry. Unlike other aluminium-bodied cars, the XJ family uses full stressed-skin monocoque construction including all the outer panels, is manufactured from aluminium. As a result, the XJR Portfolio is around 200kg lighter than before with significant benefits in performance, safety, economy and emissions performance. The XJR Portfolio's immense performance capabilities stem not just from its lightweight body but from its renowned 400bhp supercharged, 4.2 litre V8 engine. That excellent engine is matched by the superb six-speed ZF automatic transmission and gives an electronically limited maximum speed of 155mph and 0-60mph in exactly 5.0 seconds. This very nice example is presented in Midnight Metallic with an ivory leather interior, pressed aluminium dash, gear console surround and door cappings and is one of the 100 limited edition cars produced for the UK market. It comes with previous V5C registration documents, Press kit, sales brochure, previous MoT test certificates and service history. There is also a Jaguar Heritage Certificate and the wheels (with Heritage wheel centres) have been refurbished which included powder coating. The car also comes with its original bookpack which is complete, one set of keys, one chauffeur key and a first aid kit. These are rare, quick saloons which provide luxury and speed at a fraction of the cost today from when it was first manufactured.

2004 Porsche 911 / 996 Turbo S Transmission: manualMileage:61800The 996 model is a superb car; quick, reliable, well-made and representing the birth of the water-cooled 911. With a wide range of models on offer, the most iconic is, of course, the Turbo. Featuring four-wheel drive and a 3.6 litre, intercooled engine derived from the 1998 Le Mans winning GT-1 car pushing out 420bhp and hitting 60mph in a whisker over four seconds, this is genuine supercar territory. The 996 was seen as a more relaxed and usable 911; however, in Turbo guise, the driver would get the best of both worlds; a luxury leather interior with every creature comfort combined with the ability to drop the hammer and reach a top speed of a claimed 190mph. In 2002, the X50 package was offered as an option on the Turbo that included larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers, a revised ECU and quad-pipe exhaust which raised power output to 444bhp, however in 2005, Porsche introduced the Turbo S model available as either a coupé or cabriolet. The Turbo S was essentially a 996 turbo with the X50 option but also included PCCB, six-disc CD changer and aluminium-faced instruments. Worldwide production for the 996 Turbo S (including both Coupé and Cabriolet) was 1,563 cars. This makes this model very limited in numbers.A collectable and rare example of the 911 presented in Artic Silver with contrasting black leather trim, this example of the iconic Turbo S was first registered on 4th October 2004. Originally a Porsche Press car and featured in magazines, copies of which can be found in the history file. Costing when new a shade under £100,000, this example has covered a mere 61,800 miles and presents well for a privately owned example. Importantly, a manual example of the ultimate incarnation of the 996 Turbo, this is one of just 1,563 units produced of a desirable Turbo S boasting the X50 engine and believed to be one of less than 60 UK manual cars. Upon inspection it was advised the car would benefit from new tyres and a wheel refurbishment, but our vendor has sensibly taken this into account when pricing the car allowing a new owner to adorn the Turbo S with their own choice. The bodywork and trim are all in very good order and the car recently obtained an MoT test certificate which is valid until July 2024 with the only advisories regarding tyre wear. The car boasts just six former keepers in its 19 years along with the original magazine from its use a press car and a large folder of paperwork and invoices. We are informed the car drives very well and is still eye wateringly fast as it should and, as a flagship Turbo S made at the end of the 996 generation's life, comes with the X50 option pack as factory standard. This includes larger turbochargers and intercoolers that propel the car to 60mph in four seconds and combined with Porsche's excellent stability control, makes for a sensational and satisfying drive. This stunning example is an ideal usable modern classic investment that can be fully enjoyed at a fraction of the original cost.

1989 Bentley Continental Transmission: automaticMileage:62790A key factor in Rolls-Royce's marketing strategy for the 1980s was the re-launch of Bentley. To rekindle interest in the marque, a glorious name from its past was resurrected - 'Continental' - and applied to the two-door model previously known, like its Rolls-Royce equivalent, as the Corniche. An inspired move, the Bentley's 1984 name change had the desired effect; sales, which in the 13 years since the Corniche's launch had amounted to just 77 Bentley-badged cars, totalling 421 for the succeeding 11 years of Continental production. This superb looking example is finished in dark blue metallic over a magnolia leather trim and is complemented with a dark blue mohair hood covering. The condition of this Bentley is very good throughout, the coachwork is in superb order retaining a deep shine and shows very few blemishes as to the interior which is in fine fettle. Reported to run and drive very well indeed, this Continental has recently been driven circa 500 miles without fault. Offered from a private collection this Bentley comes complete with an extensively documented service history with all keys, books, tools, and is kept in the finest order by our vendor. This rare beast is one of the best we have seen and is an opportunity not to be missed. Interested parties should note that a bespoke leather luggage set has been made for the car and is available by separate negotiation.Interested parties should note that contrary to the catalogue description the vehicle details below are correct;Registration number: G573 KOE / Chassis number: SCBZD00AXKCH29277 / Engine number: 68272LL101/9
