ISLAMIC COINS, OTTOMAN, Suleman II (1099-1102h), Silver Beshlik, Tarablus Gharb, AH 1099, 1.36g (ONS 201, p.43, this coin). Good very fine, apparently unpublished in other sources, rare. Struck in the year of his accession and also bearing his name, this is undoubtedly a Beslik of Suleman II, an issue previously unknown from this mint until published in the ONS

Kuchâ, a city in China, was an ancient Buddist Kingdom located on the branch of the Silk Road that ran along the northern edge of the Taklamakan Desert in the Tarim basin and south of the Muzat river. Today it lies in the Aksu Prefacture, Sinkiang Province

Töregene (AH 639-644 / 1241-1246 AD), Anonymous Ulugh Mangyl Ulus Bek type Silver Dirham, Ahar, AH 64x, archer on horseback, hare below, rev standard legend B, mint formula and date, 2.70g (ONS 215, p.10, this coin). About fine, extremely rare from this recently identified mint. While some sixteen mints are known for Dirhams and ½-Dirhams of this type, until the publication of this type in ONS 215, Ahar was entirely unknown.
