A very rare Sri Lankan Kandyan period bronze Buddha meditating under naga. 18th century. This Buddha Muchalinda, which is very rare form in Sri Lankan bronzes, closely follows large Buddha images of the Dambulla Cave Temples installed by the Kandyan kings during the 18th century restoration.
